BMARA will open it's season March 29-30 at the Amsoil Sandbox Arena located in New Richmond Wisconsin! The shows will be run Saturday night and Sunday afternoon with practices tentatively scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. The two day purse (two complete shows) will be approximately 25K with the winner taking home $1500 Saturday and $2500 on Sunday. The track will be modeled after the Chili Bowl track and constructed from the same clay that is used on the ultra fast Cedar Lake Speedway which sits adjacent to the Sandbox Arena. There are approximately 3100 seats in the arena and negotiations are in progress for a support class that is yet to be determined. The possibility exists of bringing in a national and/or local dirt track personality for the Cedar Lake Speedway regulars to cheer for as well! Ticket information will be posted on the Cedar Lake Speedway website soon and will be available for purchase beginning January 14th. Local lodging information is also located on the Cedar Lake website. Hope to see you all there!

Cedar Lake Speedway To Host Indoor Midget Auto Racing In March By Bryan Gapinski New Richmond, Wis., Jan. 4---America's newest indoor motorsports facility, the Amsoil Sandbox Arena at Cedar Lake Speedway, will host a two-day Badger Midget Series event on Saturday night/Sunday afternoon, March 29-30, in a joint announcement made today between event organizers and the sanctioning body. The 120,000 square foot facility opened in October 2007 and has hosted weekly motocross racing on the dirt motocross track. In mid-March, track officials will replace the motocross design with a clay oval measuring between 1/4-1/5-mile, and wall and safety fencing will also be put in place for the event. The facility currently seats approximately 4,000 spectators. The event will be the season opener for the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association, the country's oldest midget auto racing organization, and will feature two complete shows. A complete field of Badger drivers and cars along with many nationally known open wheel drivers are expected to compete. A practice session is scheduled for Friday night, March 28. The arena will add its name to the historical list of indoor facilities which have hosted midget racing since the first event held on Thanksgiving Day 1934 in the Chicago Armory. Aaron Fiscus who will be competing in the event, won the most recent Badger indoor event on January 22, 2000 at the Milwaukee (Wis.) Arena. Other winners of Badger indoor sanctioned events include: Terry Goff (Milwaukee Arena, Jan. 1992), and Kevin Koch (St.Paul (Minn.) Civic Center, January 1985). Three-time Badger Midget Champion Scott Hatton and '03 Badger titlist Davey Ray also have scored indoor midget feature victories during their careers and are excepted to compete in the event. Advance tickets will go on sale Monday, January 14. For more info or to purchase tickets, visit www.cedarlakespeedway.com or call (612) 363-0479. Tickets are $25/day in advance (by March 26) or $30/day at the door, with limited seating.

Cedar Lake Speedway
It should have good ventilation seeing as it was built for motorsports.
