I went up to Spanaway Wash from Vavcouver Wash in about 83 for a non-wing show on the little 1/4 mile paved track because nothing else was going on.. Fish in a barrel, as my dad would say.. Anyway they were hot lapping and I asked my son who was about 11at the time what car he liked, "the red one". why do you like that one? "I like the way it looks". I asked my daughter the same question. "The black one". why? "I like the way he gets into turn one. She was 12 and it was Rebel Jackson Sr and he blew them away all night. Kenny

In 1989 my wife, my 4 year old son and I would watch the sprint cars at ASCOT. My son learned his numbers by knowing what numbers went with what drivers. We would settle down to watch the races and after a while my wife would go up and get the drinks and snack items. At Christmas that year we found that she was buying more than just the snacks. My son and I got a bunch of matching sprint car racing tee shirts for Christmas. I still have some of mine. My son kinda out grew his shirts (actually, so did I), but I think my wife saved the ones my son wore.

Harryfan,
Great suggestion for you,... have your wife sew your sons racecar shirts together to make quilt. give it to him for X-Mas or his Bday or sumthing. I have one that was my dad's that his second wife made for him and its pretty dang cool
