Now that the season is over and we look forward to the upcoming year, what are some of your memorable moments in the sprint car season. Things that stand out the most from the previous year. It doesnt matter if its 360, 410, winged or non wing. My most memorable moment of the year would be the great prospect of the new and talented drivers that are starting at such a young age. I dont want to list any names here, because I dont want to leave out a name that is deserving. But the world of sprint car racing here in California with its young pilots look to be great.

Without question for me it was TK coming through the field and winning on the last turn of the last lap of the Fall Nationals. Jerry Coons Jr's magical performance at Belleville is a distant second.

I was in Cali at the start of the season and watched the young guns and thought about how young they where then going back down at the end of the season (several times) I couldnt believe how much better those young guns where
Cali has a strong young crop of sprint car drivers coming up it will be fun watching them in the coming years

Kyle Larson's first win, August 4th @ Placerville. Larson made amazing progress, and did so in a very short amount of time. In his first race, Larson couldn't get out of his own way, looked timid and was involved in multiple wrecks. Within a matter of a few months, he was running towards the front, and more importantly, drove like he belonged there.
When Larson makes it to the big time in a few years, I'll be glad to say I saw him win his first sprint car race.

Johnny Key Memorial.... Top four guys all running nose to tail at the end, it was anyones race and Bonnema sitting there in 5th waiting for em to ball it up and sneek in for a Key victory, lol.
top 5: JASON STATLER, RONNIE DAY, BRENT KAEDING, EVAN SUGGS, JERRY BONNEMA
I guess since I only made a few shows this year, I was easily impressed, haha
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool,
but then I'm not 16 so therefore my opinion is of no
consequence...

No shit Al! You're the reason I don't feel so bad about the number of races I get out to. You gonna be able to leave the porch a little more next year? Or do you have to wait until all of the kids are out of the house? If so we probably won't see you much in the next forty or so years :-)......

I agree with goatracing, TK's WoO win at Tulare.
Most memorable, thrilling, heartbreaking lap rolled in to one would be Jonathan Allard passing Joey Saldana for the lead at the Gold Cup.
Bud Kaeding's Oval Nationals victory.
TV moment would be TMAC and the wave.
The sound of Mike Sargent's motor running sour and Howard Kaeding going by enroute to his third Johnny Key Memorial race win. Oops, that was 1979 but still memorable.

First trip to Ca. and meeting some new Hosers.
Rooming with YZ
Whats the name of that place we all went to on Thursday, and I drank 8 pepsi's for the price of one??
Del Taco and Mexican Kareoke with Stubb,
Watching Daron Clayton win one of the Oval Nationals preliminary nights. Told Daron that except for his mom & dad, none of his other fans have been to as many of his races as I have this year.. Never a dull moment when he is on the track!!
