Hoping that we can keep Ryan and his Rising Star status somewhat LOCAL, before he makes it to the BIG TIME. After all, Ryan in his first winged sprint car event had Troy Hovey's #37 flying around Silver Dollar, and believe me that car had yet to pass anything quicker than Pace-Truck-Chuck!!!!!!! lol

I'm with you Rich!

I knew we saw something special on February 1st, 2003. It was that kind of day and I had a feeling.

Congratulations Ryan!

Way to go Ryan!

The first very big step on things to come.

Nice job!

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool,
but then I'm not 16 so therefore my opinion is of no
consequence...

havgmony,

Hey there, congratulating Ryan is one thing, but to malign another driver to do so is something else. And knowing Ryan and his family, I seriously doubt they would be impressed that you did so.

There are probably somethings you don't know about Troy and you probably don't know him either for that matter or you wouldn't have made your comment.

For one, his racing comes out of his pocket, no fancy sponsors, etc. He is married with kids and a wife and a house, so that should tell you about how much he can spend on racing The biggest thing you should know is he was racing a homemade 360 against the 410's. He won a couple of heat races with that 360, too and had some pretty good finishes. And one other note is, he was racing with a very bad back on which he had major surgery done this year, that is why you didn't see him racing. Also, there is world of difference in the experience level of the two, I think Ryan was born with a steering wheel in his hands going "Vroom Vroom"!!

Troy is a super nice guy, the kind that would give you the shirt off his back.

I know you were trying to show just how good Ryan is, but that comment was demeaning to a real nice guy with a lot of heart for sprint car racing.

PS: Troy is going to a fancy cooking school (I can't spell "Culinary" or whatever it is!!) And if we ever hope to enjoy some of his cooking at the races we best all "play" nice!!

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan......... what can I say! I KNEW you would get that championship and in your "rookie" year, WOW! Bet that hasn't happened very ofter in the world of racing!!

I will say it again, there is NOTHING you can't drive and win in and it doesn't matter if it is on asphalt or dirt. You probably don't even realize the talent you have that is inborn in you. Most have to learn it, you just "feel" it right away.

Now, as soon as you go national, which I KNOW you will, it will happen, believe me, I am going to sign you up for the "Bachelor" TV Show AND "Dancing with the Stars"!!!!!!! If Helio can do it so can you!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrat's! Can't wait for Chili Bowl, this one will be your year, believe it!

On second thought, I am not posting any comment, you aren't worth it.

"Paging doctor Happy Smiles to the O.R.......................Paging doctor Happy Smiles to the O.R......Mrs. Fauver is prepped and ready for her sense of humor upgrade......:-)." I don't think Greg was going after you maliciously just trying to lighten the mood really. Keep in mind I've called him retarded on this board and he still loves me :-). Right Greg :-) ? I must say I was disappointed that I didn't get to see your original reply. I'm sure it was a good one :-).

Well, here's a great example of a very happy occasion gone haywire! Of course, knowing Ryan, I'm sure he's laughing his ass off.
