Maybe this is old news, but I was just reading this on the SEMA e-newsletter
TOYOTA TIME: Toyota is scheduled to debut its new 360 c.i. sprint-car engine Thanksgiving night at Irwindale Speedway. Bobby Santos III will pilot a Western Speed Racing entry equipped with the Toyota powerplant during the sprint-car portion of the Turkey Night Grand Prix.

I'm Just Curious as to how many midget teams run Toyota motors and Are these motors competitive performance wise and costwise? Thank You Jim L.

Abortion, child porn, cancer, getting hit in the nuts with a sledge hammer and a sprint car with a Toyota engine. Hopefully Osomma will buy a spint car and run them! That would be really cool.
The hopeless desire to outrun Bud Grimm's Fords is
why central PA became the toughest place to race on
the planet. Even the KING couldn't run with Casey
Luna's Fords on a tacky track. It's a crying shame
that current car owners failed to notice.

Hope they have plenty of rice at Irwindale.

The sprint car main at Irwindale was won by Bobby Santos III. His car was powered by a Toyota engine. First race AND first win for a Toyota powered sprint car. One historic Turkey Night. I am sure that the Toyota 410s will be ready soon.

So how long do you think it will be before Tony Stewart Motorsports issues a press release stating their intentions to switch their USAC sprint and midget teams to Toyota power? I'm just a fan who knows nothin' about nothin', but, I've gotta think the Toyota/Gibbs/Stewart linkage will "encourage" that change pretty quick. Will this be announced before, after, or during the Chili Bowl?

Tony is actually going to start running the Radical Muslim engine. The company is owned by close relatives of the 911 terrorists but they are 10 cents less than the other engines and make 2 more horsepower at 10000 RPMs. Its been a few years since 911 so Tony thinks its totally fine even though all the profits will go right to foreigners that hate us and tried to destroy us. The Radical Muslim Motor company will probably run GM and Ford right out of business but Tony might have a few extra pennies at the end of the year.

Actually, in the long run this would be a patriotic move. The Bin Ladens have been in business with the Bush family off and on for over 30 years (Harken Energy, Carlyle Group) now. I'm sure they would be very greatful towards our country if a team like this one was started. For them it would be a great pr move.
The Muslims, Chinese etc. don't hate US, we're great earners.
BY THE WAY--Irwindale is NOT Eldora or Knoxville. To start a buzz, they chose a track that suited their engine.
Support our troops. Their hearts still believe in us.

I don't like Toyada around either. But this country supported them by buying their products and building confidence in their investors. All we need now is the next generation to not give a shit about all that and cross the picket line.

i am not trying to start sh-t here just puting this out there.
when the cosworth and chevy and mercedes indy car motors were around were you guys bagging on them? what about the VW midget motor? the indy motors were devloped and built over in england. i don't know who did the work on the v-dub. the toyota is developed and built here. when motorsprts first started in this country there were all kinds of different countries involved. you guys are sounding like a bunch of bigoted pansy asses who are scared of competition. don't forget for now the toyota race engine is as american as the chevy it is modeled after. is it modeled from chevy or dodge? oh well.
