Dave was guaranteed a spot from being in last year's top 35 in owner's points. I don't think he finished his 150...he missed a shift on a restart early on and I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. He looked good before that though...started in the back due to an engine change and worked his way up to the top 10 within a few laps. I don't know where he'll start on Sunday, but I'm sure he'll be near the back again.

Yes he did, based on him finishing in the top 35 in points last season. He starts in 37th position.

On the message board on Dave's web site, they say he was hearing noices from the tranny.  Crew chief decided to pull the car in and not take any chances.  They were happy with the way the car ran up 'til then, so parked it.
