with the WoO - it seems they had quite a few of them lately - actually i bet over 50% of their races are narrow 1 groove...........
i just wander why it is - not being sarcastic. is it the tracks prep? do the WoO like these 1 lane tracks? it just seems they have a lot of em. for such high ticket prices ---- even from reading their recaps --- it looks like half the time fans are not gettin their moneys worth.
why would tracks not stop and rework the track aq quick as possible - what is more important? to waste 30 bucks or more and watch a 1 groove race with no passing or much side by side action - but stll get home early? or get home a half hour later ----- after watching a great feature race?

Of all the WoO shows that I've seen lately, Haubstadt was the only track that actually worked the track multiple times during the show, including right before the feature. They didn't even water so much, they used the "sheep's foot" to work on the cushion and rough spots in turn 4. Knoxville was good up until Saturday night, then the track kind of went away. It just seems like some places are affraid to touch the track during the show. At Haubstadt, it took probably an extra 50 minutes to work the track and not one person complained at any point. It was like, "they're working the track? Hot damn". I just don't know why more tracks do it, like you stated, this past weekend, after reading the results and where drivers started, must have been pretty bad.

OKC, me and my uncle have been wondering the same thing... we've been from Knoxville (where the two grooves never really got going this year) to Volusia to Williams Grove to Charlotte and I'd agree...a lot of follow the leader.
While I agree, it is probably Mark Kinser's fault, I have been wondering about making wings smaller, harder tires...something to make it more racey...
It seems like he only time you see passing is when the leaders get to lapped traffic...I know I have been rooting for the leaders to get to lapped traffic without a caution A LOT this year.
I hate most Donny Schatz fans...i.e. all the ones who
started rooting for him within the last 3 years...
i.e. 90% of them.

Mark Kinser emailed me and told me that the WoO has plans to transition into an asphalt series - that's why he and Karl quit. Why do you think they've been prepping their tracks to simulate asphalt? After all - Tom Deery is from an asphalt track family - they moved DIRT HQ to Charlotte - the mecca of asphalt racers... and as soon as they did DIRT changed it's name to WRG (maybe to get away from the corporate world's stigma surrounding "dirt"!!??)
I think Mark Kinser may be right!

That's damn funny...
I think I am going to call Mark Kinser and see if I can market Mark Kinser for President and/or Mark Kinser the Legend of Hoseheads shirts...
