FVP National Sprint League to Add 360 sprint car divisions in 2016!

Windom, MN (June 29, 2015) – The FVP National Sprint League’s inaugural season in 2015 has gotten off to an incredible start! Though the bulk of the season remains, the series is already looking to 2016 as well. With that in mind, the NSL would like to announce that it will expand its series in 2016 to include the 360 sprint car division!

Adding 360’s is a natural fit for the business model already established by the FVP National Sprint League. Plans are currently underway to include six to seven regional series throughout the Midwest from Minnesota to Texas. More information will be announced about the National Sprint League 360 divisions in the next several weeks!

NSL founder Tod Quiring adds, “With the current business model we have established with the FVP National Sprint League 410 division, we see a great opportunity in getting not only our current marketing partners involved, but also adding new marketing partners in the expansion of the regional 360 NSL division. We are looking forward to announcing our regions and drivers in the weeks to come.”

I think Minnesota to Texas is too great an area. Darn few 360 teams that I know can afford that much travel.

I have only been to two races so far this year but noticed that UMSS winged car counts struggled a bit.  Take away a couple of Canada cars, a Fargo car and a couple of Traditionals with wings tagging the field and there wasn't much of a turnout.  Some of these youger guys might want to follow the NSL deal and that's going to cut further into the UMSS.  Don't know what happened, a few years ago there'd be 30 at some of the bigger shows.  A lot of faces I'm not seeing at the races I've attended or in the results.  I see that IMCA went to Racesaver 305's so none of those guys are running with UMSS anymore.  Some others that raced in the past I haven't seen either.  Likely they'll do pretty well for this weekend, the Open Wheel Nationals, and Jerry Richert Sr. Memorial but some weeks they've been kind of thin from what I've seen in the results.

Don't know how this new NSL 360 deal will affect them in the future.  I don't think they're going to be worried about scheduling a race somewhere like Jackson or Iowa on the night of a UMSS race.  That cold divide the pie a bit further but haven't talked to anyone with the series so I don't know if they're working with NSL.  Another one of those "stay tuned" and see what happpens kind of deals.
