Basic question on torsion bars. ok starting with a 1000, 1025, 1050, ETC the differance is the (OD) or circumfrance of the bar right? so a 1050 would be stiffer than a 1025, which would be stiffer than a 1000 etc right? so my question is how far does the actual bar twist inside a 1000 would twist or turn more than a 1050 and etc right? or am i way off. the basic question i guess is if i had a 1025 bar that the stop was neutrual or finger tight how far would it twist, wind up, give ETC inside and what would the effect be? i hope that sounds like a question thanks RED [email protected]

You are correct on your first part. If you had 1025's in your front end and just had the stop adjusters finger tight, you would still be able to lift the end of the arm about 1" above the axle without a ton of effort. I like to crank them finger tight and then put another 1/4 turn with the wrench.

I ALWAYS ADD A 1/4 TURN TO ALL BARS AFTER FINGER TIGHTENING .
