FRED BROWNFIELD MEMORIAL SPRINT CHALLENGE!
Grays Harbor Raceway Management and Staff are excited to announce that the A-Main for the July 21st, 1st Annual Fred Brownfied Memorial Sprint Challenge NSCS sanctioned event will pay a whopping $10,092 to win the 40 lap A- Main event. In keeping with Fred's vision for 360 Sprint Car Racing, this event will be a ASCS engine event only. To honor one of the most influential men in the sport of Sprint Car Racing and the builder of Grays Harbor Raceway one of the premier facilities in the country, fans, sponsors and friends have banded together to raise over $12,000, so far that will be added directly to the payout for the Fred Brownfield Memorial Sprint Challenge.
Every position in the A-Main will end in $92, with last place in the A-Main to pay $492. The number 92 signifies the number that carried Fred to many victories and track championships in his driving career. What better way to honor a man who dedicated his life to make racing in the Northwest and all over the country better by ending each position with his number.
Track Manager George Wade expects this to be the biggest 360 Sprint Car event in the Northwest in both car and fan count, as racers, fans, sponsors, friends and family get together to honor one of the greatest men in the sport.
