Anybody know the rule for how many laps total a race is run including yelllow flags before a mandatory red for refueling? Sounds like Joey ran out of fuel there at the end that cost him the win. After the first part of the year there's know denying that he has by far the fastest car night in night out. Qualifying at the top, racing through his heat into the dash and without a couple of mistakes and a slide job gone bad he could very well have seven wins.

NOT enough laps should be the rule. I don't ever remember there being a problem running out of fuel with the not that much larger tanks they used to run.

Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.

Sounds like he was the only one who may have had a fuel problem. So if that was the case, in my view there was no problem. He either needs to make sure it is FULL of fuel, buy a larger tank or throttle back on the horse power.

Amen, Why do you think they call them sprint cars.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

A 33 gallon tank at 1 mpg full throttle on a half miler equals 66 laps.....I'm guessing they get better mileage under cautions. There is a weight rule now anyway, why not utilize some fuel into it so you know you will finish the thing?

I echo all of the above! Not something that hasn't been debated before. My suggestion, regardless if it's WoO, All Stars, ASCS, etc, is the next time and everytime a race is stopped for fuel that everyone, wheather it's 1,000 or 15,000, in the stands loudly and strongly let the officials, drivers and owners know that fuel stops are unacceptable..... Thousands of people can make a lot of noise and if they start yelling and stomping at the wave of the red flag and continue until the green is flown, maybe the message will be heard. I haven't been to a race yet this year, but it appears that in photos some are still running the small tanks, is this correct?
