MOYER, MADDEN, BIRKHOFER, CARLSON, TOMKINS AND HEJNA HEADLINE Dirt Nation™

 

Hampton, VA --- The Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil radio show on Monday evening April 9th will present a plethora of special guests from the world of dirt track racing across the country. Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil airs from 8:00 - 10:00 PM EST on WLRT 1490 THE OUTLAW and can be accessed over the internet at: www.racetalklive.com and www.dirtnation.net, and is hosted by Dave Seay.

Dirt Nation™ will spotlight dirt late model superstar Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR. 'Mr. Smooth' has been on a tear to start the 2007 season. Moyer comes off a victory in the Lucas Oil sanctioned Indiana Ice Breaker which positions him as the Lucas Oil Late Model point leader. Moyer announced at the beginning of the 2007 season that he was going to run a true outlaw schedule, he will join the show to talk about the schedule and family. Moyer drives the Billy Moyer Racing owned, Pro Power Engines powered Rayburn #21 sponsored by Banner Valley Hauling, J&J Steel, Karl Chevrolet, McCarthy's Heating and Air Conditioning and Car City.

Dirt Nation™ will also spotlight World of Outlaws Sprint car competitor Brian Carlson of Linden, IN. Carlson is in his sophomore season with the Outlaws after finishing 15th in 2006 points and being a part of the Mean 15. Carlson will join the show to talk about his 2007 season and the struggles to bring in sponsorship. Carlson drives the SC Motorsports owned, J&D Performance powered Maxim #18 sponsored by The Lincoln Electric Company, Goodson Tools, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, ICORE, Staubli, Triple XXX Family Restaurant and Root Beer.

Making a return visit to Dirt Nation™ will be 2006 O'Reilly Auto Parts Southern AllStar Series Champion Chris 'Smokey' Madden of Gray Court, SC. Madden, a two time Southern AllStar Series Champion, will join the show to talk about his championship, about being a hot property with the national tours and hitting the road a bit more during the 2007 season. Madden drives the Henderson Motorsports owned, Clements Racing Engines powered Bloomquist #44 sponsored by Century Plastics, Xtreme custom Cycles, Henderson Amusement, Henderson Motor Company, Jacky Jones Automotive Group, Pancake House and Time Out Family Restaurant.

Also making a return visit to Dirt Nation™ will be Iowa dirt late model star Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine, IA. 'Birky" will be joining the show to talk about his 2007 schedule which will see him racing with both the World of Outlaws 360 OTC Late Models and the Lucas Oil Late Model Series. Birkhofer drives the Birkhofer Racing owned, Pro Power Racing Engines powered Rocket #15B sponsored by J&J Steel, Daufeldt Transport, McDonalds of the Quad Cities, Simon Trucking and ASI Racewear.

Also returning to visit Dirt Nation™ will be Advance Auto Parts Super Dirt Series competitor and northeast modified standout Gary Tomkins of Clifton Springs, NY. Tomkins comes off a great third place finish at Hagerstown Speedway in the tours first points' race of the 2007 season. Tomkins will join the show to talk about his 2007 plans and more. Tomkins drives the Doug Dullen owned; Mastin powered Bicknell #84 sponsored by Honeoye Auto Parts and Red Parker & Son Excavating.

Making a first time visit to Dirt Nation™ will be United States Modified Touring Series competitor and modified standout al Hejna, of Clear Lake, IA. Hejna currently sits second in USMTS Nationals points and also leads the Western Region points. Hejna will join the show to talk about his career, his business and the Lucky 7 Club. Hejna drives the Hejna Brothers Racing owned; Dick Boyer Engine Development powered Skyrocket #7 sponsored by Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Sign Pro, Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar, Shryock Racing Components and Backyard Deli & Catering.
