MSPN, do you have to bring up how bad the former-NST'ers have had their asses handed to them by the WoO faithful these past two seasons? Have a little heart, you callous bastard...

Post whatever you want to make the WoO look bad, they are still operating, the NST is not.
Myself, I'll just go enjoy the races and not worry about the financial reports. I do not have any money invested with DIRT. If the WoO was to fold I'm sure someone else would start a national 410 series or else the All Stars and some local tracks would suddenly have a lot tougher competition.

as long as there is profit potental, there will be a touring class of 410 cars.
When there is no profit potental, they will be gone, sort of like the dozens of upstarts in the past, NSL,AAA and USA as 3 examples.
Hawker & BRR, remember, drive hard, turn right!

the NST decided not to race this year when the top 2 drivers got paid to come back...do your own math.

Hey! There will be no name calling here! Even if it is true!
Cubic, I think you have that top ten in points upside down, I was assured that the NST guys would fill the top three slots and the majority of the top ten.

I have to laugh at the people who in the face of yet another dismal financial report have to resort to discussing the NST or point standings instead of addressing the fact the DIRT is spiraling out of control. One thing IS certain, I would be willing to bet a months salary that the NST didn't rack up $22,000,000 in debt in one season. It is only a matter of time, their report says it best.
We need additional capital to continue as a going concern and successfully execute our business strategy. Revenues from operations are still significantly below levels necessary to achieve positive cash flow. From inception to December 31, 2006, our aggregate net loss is approximately $60.7 million. Our cash position is $0.5 million at December 31, 2006, and is we expect the net losses and negative cash flow to continue into 2007. In the event we are unable to obtain additional financing, our known and likely short term cash requirements will exceed available cash resources. Our short-term liquidity could disrupt our event schedule, which would adversely affect our results of operations. CoachBob - I tried to get you to take the bet.....

The WoO lost 12 top drivers last year and still ran a full schedule. The NST lost 2 top drivers and decides to fold!
I don't care what numbers Dirt posts with the feds. There is nothing I can do about it, so why worry about it. If they fold, they fold. Not my problem.

If they don't sign a major series sponsor before next season then the writing probably is on the wall. They finally have everything going for them... The bad press has subsided a bit for the first time since they have took the helm. There is one series again with more cars touring than ever before. And if the TV shows go off as hoped this summer then there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to sign a major sponsor for 2008. In the meantime let's all just enjoy the year, and give them a chance for once. There's no benefit not to. If they do go under, although we learned last year there are many waiting in the wings, most likely whoever would step in won't have near the resources of BoundlessOutlawDirtWorld. Might as well take advantage of it while it lasts and hope for the best.

Sorry, but they tell you in the statement above that they are on the verge of being out of cash NOW.
If you were the CEO of a company capable of sponsoring and organization such as DIRT, would you sponsor someone that has driven up $60,000,000 in debt in less than 4 years with only $500,000 cash in the bank?

It seems like the $$$ worries will always be there and we cant speculate very much what is REALLY going on. As the old saying goes... If liars can figure, then figures can lie. And after all they are reporting to the IRS ferevensakes ! Who better to lie to about financial woes ? I will be relaxing and not stressing over this one.
Oh, and one more thing.... If the NST had not tragically lost its founder/money guy/heart and soul, the comments about who is still here and who is no longer racing would never be heard. They (the NST) served a great purpose for the good of sprint car drivers/owners and after Brownie's death thats about all we have to remember.
