I just got a Butlerbuilt seat delivered, and it's got some straps attached to the top of it that snap on the side and are attached to the top of the seat by something embedded in the foam. It says zipflex saw rescue. I tried to go to zipflexsaw.com but it doesn't exist. Just wanted to see what was buried in the foam and what they are supposed to cut off with them. The shoulder supports or the head support or both?

Here's an idea, why not give Brian or Jeannie a call at butlerbuilt? I'd be willing to bet they could help you out. This way you KNOW you are getting the correct information. Their phone number is on their add on Hoseheads main web page.

It's supposed to cut out the foam from by the drivers head to help safety crews get a backboard in easier.

In the event that a driver rescue and extrication procedure is necessary, the very first order of business is to stabilize the driver's neck and create support for the head. To speed this procedure considerably, we have incorporated the Zipflex wire saw behind the head foam on the right and left sides. The safety crew just pulls the tether and the foam is cleared away from around the drivers head and neck to allow easy and complete access. This also has the benefit of not requiring the rescuers to introduce sharp cutting tools near the drivers head, neck and body area. Overall, it is our intention to do everything possible to provide a safe and easy to use product for both the racer and the safety crew.

most car owners make the drivers furnish their own seat, a major expense of redoing after an accident MIGHT, just MAYBE help the driver pull his head out of his postierior at times (Ya sure it will) lol

Yes, Brian and Jeannie are great people in the sport of auto racing as the seat that has been referenced to in this thread is one of those that was purchased through the help of Knoxville Racing Charitable Organization for our Knoxville regular Saturday night drivers which gdude isone of the qualifying drivers. This is one of the fine things that people who purchase 50/50 tickets at Knoxville Raceway money is being spent so without the combination of Butlerbuilt Seats,KRCO,and many fans this would not be possible!
That being said I would like to remind everyone to come out on Saturday April 7, 2007 to the 2nd Annual KRCO Bowling Challenge 360vs.410 drivers at 6:30p.m. in Knoxville at Fairlane Bowl
Free admission, and a chance to see your favorite driver bowl and also take home some racing and bowling memorabilia from a silent auction that will also take place that night. Hope to see you all come out and support the
driver who put on a great show for you all summer long.

Yes, Duane I did not forget about you providing the trophies but I was beginning to feel like I was typing a novel. I do have another thread about this but nobody responded so it just went down about four pages
