Some folks really prefer living in Iowa.

We have the greatest race tracks in the Nation in Iowa, and also the MOST race tracks of any state in the Nation.

Hawker even enjoys coming to Iowa to visit.

On Hawkers last visit to Iowa, he though how nice it would be to FINALLY blend in with the crowd and learn a little about Iowa.;

Hawker decid ed on having a "work day" (unusual for him) and chose to work on a farm for a try at being a "Cowboy".

This is actual footage of Hawkers day on a farm,

I never thought of that, but you are right.

I may be at the board meeting in Tulsa, but the smoke won't work too well for me.

I will know more later

"We have the greatest race tracks in the Nation in Iowa, and also the MOST race tracks of any state in the Nation."

Hey Nodust, You seem to be suffering from More Stupidity Posted Now syndrome. Just because you post or say something does not make it true. You DO NOT have "the MOST race tracks of any state in the Nation" in your corn field state! Rather than being a Manipulative Selective Propagandizing Nut to prove your point with a bunch of babble or manipulated stats, use some actual stats. If you can't dazzle people with brilliance you shouldn't try to baffle them with BS with your "We have the greatest race tracks in the Nation in Iowa, and also the MOST race tracks of any state in the Nation."

Check out pages 606 and 607 of the 2006 National Speedway Directory.

In TOTAL tracks; Iowa 53, California 57, Indiana 57, Pennsylvania 68, Texas 72.

In OVAL tracks; Iowa 47, Indiana 47, Pennsylvania 59.

In DIRT tracks; Iowa 46, Pennsylvania 53.

Pennsylvania exceeds Iowa in all six stats.

PAVED tracks; Iowa 1, Pennsylvania 6. Fourty-two states match or exceed Iowa.

DRAGSTRIPS; Iowa 5, Pennsylvania 7. Twenty-five states match or exceed Iowa.

ROAD COURSES; Iowa 1, Pennsylvania 3. Thirty-two states match or exceed Iowa.

Nostats, ooops, I mean Nodust,

Iowa is a nice state with some nice tracks and many nice people. It also has plenty of corn which is also proven by your endless corny posts here on Hosehead's. Where did you get your info? Not from a reliable source, that's for sure! Move to Texas if you want your "MOST race tracks of any state in the Nation" statement to be true. Move to Pennsylvania if you want your statement to be true about dirt tracks. Or just keep living in your own fantasy like some other prolific posters on this board.

lol

Must be a slow day in Iowa!

The most? Or per capita? Or per corn field?

Hang in there guys. May will be here before you know it and you can relish in your more per capita status or fantasy? Is that the story you are going to stick with? The more per capita one or are you going to entertain us with another change of the story? I guess the most tracks fantasy is over.

lol

Population stats from 2006 Rand McNally atlas.

Race track stats from 2006 National Speedway Directory.

Iowa 2,944,062 population divided by 53 tracks equals one track per 55,548 people.

North Dakota 633,837 population divided by 16 tracks equals one track per 39,615 people.

Nodust and Bill W, Go back to your drawing boards and come up with another fantasy. North Dakota has many more tracks per capita (by far, Bill W) than Iowa. Close to one and a half times as many per capita! This is too easy, guys. While eating supper, I thought of a few states to check This was the first one I checked. Not a problem and it doesn't take long to look this stuff up, Bill W. I hope you research your Knoxville stuff better than your race tracks per capita statement.

I'll let you guys research the other 48 states if you want. But, whether it's North Dakota only, five more states, ten more states or _ more states; you have already been proved wrong with your second fantasy! You have to get out of your More Stupidity Posted Now mode.

lol

My guess for most race tracks would have been PA since they never travel past their state line

Bill W, wake up. I brought North Dakota in to disprove your Iowa has more tracks per capita than any other state myth! Another Iowa and North Dakota comparison since this message board deals mostly with dirt tracks:

Iowa 2,944,062 population divided by 46 dirt tracks equals one per 64,001 people.

North Dakota 633,837 population divided by 14 dirt tracks equals one per 45,274 people.

Once again, North Dakota beats Iowa by nearly one and a half times in your per capita stat.

No thanks on checking tracks per capita of other states. I already said I'd leave that to you two Iowa rocket scientists/statisticians.

Nodust and Bill W, Who came up with such a silly thing as tracks per capita anyways? You are really stretching to try to make Iowa special by coming up with such a ridiculous, meaningless thing! (and your stat was wrong anyways, lol) All that it means is that you live in a state with no major cities. You guys seem to be fixated with Pennsylvania the way you are always on message boards knocking the Posse, Williams Grove and Pennsylvania. A state with major cities like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and major sports like MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL will not rank as high on your goofy tracks per capita deal as a state with no major cities or sports but lots of corn fields like Iowa. What all of this actually means is that tracks in Iowa are fewer and spread farther apart than those in Pennsylvania.

2006 Rand McNally atlas, 2006 National Speedway Directory

Iowa 55,869 square miles. 53 tracks. 46 dirt tracks.

Pennsylvania 44,817 square miles. 68 tracks. 53 dirt tracks.

Iowa has 1 track per 1,054 square miles and 1 dirt track per 1,215 square miles.

Pennsylvania has 1 track per 659 square miles and 1 dirt track per 846 square miles.

That's much more meaningful than your tracks per capita goofiness. lol
