One Of Our Own
Kim and Loretta Wilke need our support and prayers. For those not familiar with the name, Kim was instrumental in bringing sprint car racing to Cowtown Speedway and has nursed countless injured race cars back to health over the years for fellow racers.
Kim is scheduled to undergo triple bypass heart surgery on Nov. 20th. Unfortunately, like many others, Kim does not have health insurance. The medical cost alone will be staggering and there will be the loss of income while he is recuperating.
At the advise of Smiley Sitton, a post office box has been reserved where cards of encouragement as well as donations can be sent. The Wilke's contributions to racing have touched almost all of us in one way or another through the years. With that, I hope that each of you can find it in your heart to reach out to them during this difficult time as they are "one of our own".

Kim Wilke Update,
I just arrived back into town late last night and got the word Kim is doing great. Kim had a quadruple bypass and is doing so well they are letting him go home today. Hope everyone had a blessed thanksgiving. Cren
