Well tonight I think I have heard my first with this one, Schatz get's into a car while trying to pass and spins out to bring a caution and the WOO officials make a call and say its an "inadvertent caution" and give Schatz his spot back. Other-wise it sounded like a great race tonight.

It's not the first time... remember the Nationals last year in the B main, when they did the same thing with Lasoski? Political BS, that's all.

Lasoski didn't stop in the nationals either, but they gave him his original spot back instead of putting all the cars that passed him while he was spinning ahead of him on the restart....to me it is wrong, inadvertant or not. Unfortunately, over the radio broadcast, we don't know how many cars passed Donny tonight while he was spinning. Either way, the yellow was thrown... the rules ( I thought ) are that the CAR that causes the yellow goes to the TAIL on the restart.

they do have an inadvertant cation rule in woo. but it really is bull. they throw the quick yellow thinking they are going to help a favorite driver, then find he would have been better off by not throwing it. the rule was designed for just this situation. it is a no loose deal for whoever they choose to use it on. it is a bs deal. if they think the caution needs to come out and they throw it they need to stand by it.i know tracks have a rule that if you are involved in a yellow but do not stop on the track you don't have to go to the back. but that is usually used when there is more than one car involved. when there is only one car involved it should not come into play. but like i said this rule has been implemented at tracks to benifit the favorites.

WOW, great asessment. Couldn't agree more. It really is a bad rule, and nobody walks away happy when it happens. Well accept for the person it helps.

The worst part for me isn't so much the rule that I have posted below, it is the fact that he drilled the leader and took him out of the race and THEN was allowed to get his spot back.
Per the WoO rulebook...
e) Any car that does a 360 and does not bring out the yellow flag or have an accident
will fall in where it gets momentum. If an inadvertent Yellow Flag is displayed the
WoO Competition Director will, in his sole discretion, determine the placement of
the car doing the 360. Said placement will be where the car blends back into the
field.

Hawk, we are on the same wavelength.... maybe Donny only got passed by one car tonight when he spun, cuz that is where he got placed, one spot back. I hate to beat a dead horse, but what about Danny at the Nats? He lost at least 3 spots, yet he restarted where he was running when the yellow flew...is that a Knoxville rule because he is the all time winner there, or because they don't use outlaw rules for the Nats? I'm not pointing fingers, I'm just curious......thanx

Reminds me of when Jac caused the caution LEADING the race and they let him keep his lead spot. Pevely? I think...someone can correct me if I'm mistaken.

sprinty11 - you're correct. Jac spun in 4 in front of everybody, yellow flies, he gets his spot back, & goes on to the win with a severely bent RR wheel. Made for a great finish, & I happen to like watching Jac run, but....the rule is very hard to use without causing questions from the fans/drivers alike....so maybe it's time to do away with it?

While I don't agree with it if it is the rule book then you can't bash Schatz for it.

WAAAAAAAA, no more crying over spilled milk ladies. Let It Go! Now, if somebody who was there would care to tell us what he saw then that might be worthwhile, whining is not allowed when you haven't left your porch, sorry. Take It Easy...

only one person crying...you pal. it is entirely appropriate for fans to question the judgment of the decrepid. you act like you have never been to a race.
rules: more of the same...last years Kville Nat fetured and INADVERTENT GREEN as well...get the goggles fix or get off the sauce.

Pathetic as per usual BRR, some things never change. How ironic a porch dweller asks me about an Outlaw race, have you no shame, fool. Last year was a long time ago, tell me more about FLORIDA this year and the lapped Posse traffic, ahhhh, you gotta love that neutral ground embarassment known as the PA Posse. My work is done, lol. Take It Easy.....

Since the Nationals were unsanctioned, you could surmise that WoO rules had no effect...the answer to your long question is No and No.
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

Shame that no one seems to point out that the much hyped return of the King, Dude, Kaeding etc... has led to much the same results as last year. Schatz and Saldana in the front. Oops, my bad, sorry to mention facts on this board.
