AN INTERESTING NOTION

During World War II -- the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the
American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they
felt would work. They gave the script to their famous broadcaster
"Tokyo Rose" and every day she would broadcast this same message
packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on
American GI's morale.

What was that demoralizing message?

It had three main points:

1. Your President is lying to you.

2. This war is illegal.

3. You cannot win the war.

Does this sound familiar?

Hillary, Harry, John, Teddy, Nancy, and etc. have picked up on the same
message and are broadcasting it on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc., to our
nation's citizens and our troops? The only difference is that they
claim to support our troops before they demoralize them.

Come to think of it, didn't Tokyo Rose tell the troops she was on their
side, too?

1.  Was it worth a trillion dollars to hang a 70 year old Saddam Hussien? There are a heck of a lot of other nations in the world that pose a much bigger threat to our national security than IRAQ did...forty to be exact.

2.  Where's Bin Laden?

A couple of good things about the war,

The Sears Tower is still standing, How many billions did it cost our economy when the twin towers went down, plus 3,000 onnocent people.

We do not have suicide bombers blowing up inocent people in our country, they are occupied in Iraq

See my website www.autodetailco.com

I agree DS. Just wish they could have kept them occupied in the mountains of Afghanistan and Pakistan instead. Iraq was muzzled by sanctions. Now we've flushed Al Qaida out from the foothills where they were sleeping with mountain goats to keep warm at night, into a country where they have helped inspire millions to an even bigger anti-American frenzy than they already were. So far it seems like the only people who have made out from Iraq are Halliburton investors...Bin Laden probably even owns quite a bit of stock by now.

Just my opinion.

I don't want to cause an argument, but if anybody thinks that pulling our troops out of the gulf region now is going make America safer you are sadly mistaken.  Maybe the Bush administration should of handled the war differently but hindsite has always been 20/20.  If the Bush admin did not respond to the towers who knows what else could have happened to us.  If Clinton would have focused a little more on Bin Laden instead of his interns during his term maybe we wouldn't be in this situation.  Pulling out now only adds a boost to the growing number of  American hating middle easterners.  Believe it or not their are many people in Iraq and other middle east countries that appreciate what we have done for them.  Of course you would not ever see that on most of our news programs but it is true.  If we pull out now and let these people down, what kind of message are we sending?  If we pull out now, Bin Laden will become the victor and the anti-american community will unite around him in his triumph to create our worst nightmare.  Like I said, just my opinion.

Unfortunately, Bush focused as little on Bin Laden/Al-Qaeda during the first year-and-a-half of his presidency than Clinton did...until 9-11. Since then, it has been a "fear the terrorists" presidency. Play up on fear, cut civil rights. Somehow, to me, it doesn't seem like quite a fair trade off.

As far as the current gulf war, we only missed by one country. And it's only several hundred miles west from Baghdad. Iran poses MUCH more of a threat to our well-being in the near future than Iraq could ever dream of.

After the initial push and "victory", this is probably the worst-ever case of American military planning in history. I vigorously support the feet on the ground, but the higher ups really stepped on their collective dicks on the planning for the after effects of taking the leadership out of power. Anarchy has ensued, and SOMEone should have seen it coming.

Iran? You're looking in the wrong direction, I'd suggest the Saudi's are the ones you need to be worried about. Where do you think Osama came from.

A well traveled Pakistani friend of mine says that while all of this goes on, they are building a pipeline through Afganistan to make it easier when getting oil to the gulf. Pres. and V.P from the same state? Not legal, yet it happened. Hanging chads undo a slight margin of victory by popular vote in Florida[Home of Jeb]. Haliburton headquarters moves to Saudi Arabia. What about the permanent structures being built in Iraq right now that are not for the Iraqis? WE DIDN'T START WW2, WE FINISHED IT IN 4 YR.S. Pardon me, that's  THE GREATEST GENERATION DIDN'T START WW2, THEY FINISHED IT IN 4 YRS. How much of all this is truly a distraction from what IS going on? No soldier dies in vain when he believes in the cause for good, but we live in vain when we know better and do nothing to stop it. I am guilty of this.

By the way NO-DUST, I still find you the most entertaining visitor here and hope to see what else you find out there. We all have opinions and there is no real telling as to who has the big picture figured out.
