What is his status for this year. I had heard he was igoing to be in the midwest and I see he is still here for now. Is he in good equipment? I am not trying to start anything, just an ocasional fan surprised he is not doing better. Thanks

Let's see -
New team, with new motors, and new chassis. He's probably still adapting to
the new stuff. And he's got a 2nd and 3rd already this year, so it hasn't been too bad a yeat so far.
He'll be chasing the USAC National points deal, so he will be back to the midwest.
Give it some time.......
Chuck.....

Damion will be driving for Jason Leffler motorsports this year . He has moved to Indy and will do most of his racing back east.

Kdxkid,
Damion's team is using DRC chassis with Mopar power. He will probably run some asphalt races with team-prepared cars as well. As Chuck previously stated, he is doing just fine so far, learning the new cars and working with his new crew chief. Look for him to be back on the West Coast for the Oval Nat'ls and at the Western World Finals at Manzy in November for sure. Don't be surprised if he shows up at Perris later in the fall, if his schedule allows.

Thanks for all the responses. It just seemed in the last 2 years when I would go to the races he was almost unbeatable. I had also heard he was not going to be racing on the west coast so to see in here was a little bit of a surprise. It is always fun to see him race and all the drama as well. I was at Ventura last year when the helmet got loose on the track. I hope I get to see him run this year...:)
