Here is this year's Indiana Sprint Week Schedule:

July 11- North Vernon, IN
July 12- Lawrenceburg, IN
July 13- Gas City, IN
July 14- Putnamville, IN
July 15- Kokomo, IN
July 18- Boswell, IN
July 19- Terre Haute, IN
July 20- Bloomington, IN
July 21- Haubstadt, IN

Last year I was lucky to go with Norm Bogan and it was alot of fun. We stayed in South Indy and I think the longest drive to a track was Haubstadt, near the Kentucky border- almost 3 hours on the "scenic route."

On the off days, we visited alot of tracks, including Eldora and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The IMS Museum was worth the $3 ticket. For another $3, you can take the track tour.

Norm has a story about the trip on the website at http://www.scrafan.com/column/norm/2006/0800isw.html

During the trip we saw many race fans and friends from the West Coast.

Hope this helps,

Lance Jennings - SCRAFAN.COM

Sprint Week is outstanding event. Two weeks of good hard racing. I have been three times, one in 1998 and for the last two years. I plan on going again this year.

Lance,

Yes it does help, and I am looking forward to going this year.  One more question, are the car counts and quality of racing good?

Here are last year's car counts:

North Vernon: 56
Bloomington: 59
Haubstadt: 43
Kokomo: 45
Gas City: 54
Lawrenceburg: Rained Out
Terre Haute: Rained Out

The quality of racing was very good. The pill pick for qualifying is a major factor in Indiana Sprint Week. Teams that drew the later pills had to face a slower track. They wound up in the Qualifying Races (C-Mains) and many good cars were put on the trailer early.

Last year, the weather was very humid (compared to So. Cal) and hot. The last 2 races were rained out and there was some controversy about those decisions.

Some of the tracks had a support class of local stocks or late models.
