Just wondering if Brandon Wimmer or Shane Stewart had rides yet or were getting close besides Shane's ride in Australia.

Brandon is racing for Redi-Green Motorsports.

Shane is still racing down under for lack of a ride in the states.
Not being an a-hole here, but this info is really easy to find with a quick look at virtually any search engine.

read on ASCS website that Sean McClelland's car owner is lookin for someone to run that car for the ASCS National Tour. McClelland is from the Tulsa area and so was the car owner I believe. My first thought after seeing that news was by all rights Shane Stewart should race it, and if possible remind some people why he belongs in the WoO (if indeed he does). Don't know of any other top drivers fromt that area lookin to run ASCS National. Makes good sense to me.

I personnally don`t think holbrook will get back into racing. Didn`t him and his wife go through a bad divorce? She may have something to say about him getting back into sprint car racing.

Don't be surprised if you see the old 8h again in 2007. Junior appears to back in the game.

Shane Stewart in his final race in Australia last night finished in second place in the Nanovich King of Wings in Perth, Western Australia.
Kerry Madsen followed on from his prelim win the night before to also take the feature on night 2. Both now head back to the States.

Brandon Wimmer and the Redi_Green 1k team showed up for the 2nd night of the Mini Gold Cup tonight. Ran well, made the Dash and was having a spirited battle with Jason Statler for 6th place when he had tire go down during one of too many yellows and had to pit. Came back and finished 8th. Not a bad debut in the Golden State Challenge. I have the feeling they will do well in the GSC this season.

From Richard Day
Wimmer Finishes Eighth in Mini Gold Cup
CHICO, CA (March 10) – Brandon Wimmer made the most of some tough circumstances and raced into eighth place in the 21st Annual Mini Gold Cup Saturday when the Golden State Challenge King of California Series opened its 2007 season at Silver Dollar Speedway.
Wimmer, driving Redi-Green Motorsports' #1K ARB Incorporated Maxim in his first Mini Gold Cup, was the 17th-fastest qualifier in the 45-car field. His 12.291-second lap around the high-banked, ¼-mile oval was .406 seconds off the pace set by Jeff Delte. Wimmer qualified for the Dash Race with a third-place run in the First Heat Race. His seventh-place run in the Dash Race gave Redi-Green Motorsports the fourth row inside starting position in the "A" Feature.
Wimmer was racing wheel-to-wheel with Golden State Challenge King of California Series veteran Jason Statler in a battle for fifth place in the main event when debris lodged under the throttle pedal in the #1K ARB Incorporated Maxim kept him from pushing it all the way to the floor. The Redi-Green Motorsports crew removed the debris during a caution period, and Wimmer raced back through the field to finish eighth.
"It was just a night of working all the bugs out of the car," Wimmer said. "We really didn't get any hot laps because the track was greasy. We didn't have the car set up right (for the qualifying session) because we didn't get any hot laps. We started second in the heat race but, on the first lap, the nose wing fell down. We ended up third, which was good. It was a long night because we really never got any good laps in until the dash.
"It was just a night of getting used to working with each other but, in the end, it wasn't too bad. We were battling for fifth place when a piece of mud mixed with wood got under the throttle. The throttle pedal wouldn't go all the way down, so I went into the pits and restarted at the back and came back through. It was a tough weekend, but we did the best we could. Learning to work with each other takes a lot no matter who you are so, overall, it was a pretty good weekend. Some things that were out of our control kept us from making it to the track Friday. It's good to get the first weekend in, and get used to working with each other. Now we're ready to go racing in Hanford ."
The Golden State Challenge King of California Series will run a double-feature event at Kings Speedway Friday and Saturday. The pits are scheduled to open at 4 p.m., the main gate at 5 p.m. and the qualifying session at 6:30 p.m. Adults will be admitted for $16, juniors for $11 and children for $4.
