Some relevant W of O's information that I posted in another thread but bears repeating:

Seven races, six different winners.

Seven races, seven different quick times.

Seven races, seven different dash winners.

Seven races, seven different B-Main winners.

TEN different drivers have led laps this season.

It's time to stop complaining about the format, the track, the drivers sandbagging and just sit down, shut up, buckle in and enjoy their greatest season in history. If you're truly smart you'll take in some of the action, get off the porch, pony up a few bucks and have some fun. Take It Easy.....

sadly some will never want to have to admit that the woo is actually doing half way decent. you could give every car in the show the same prize and same points and same chances ect..(like in the special olympics lol)and some would still complain favoritism. you could have a two or three wide battle for position all the way through the pack for the whole race ending with a four wide dash to the finish line with the lead changing every 2 feet and some would still say the races were boring. they could cut the ticket prices in half and some would still complain about the price. the stands could be packed for every show and some would complain they had to stand in line too long or they couldn't find a place to sit. some people just find fault no matter what. some because thier favorite driver might not benifit from something that was done and some because they want thier favorite driver to benifit from something they want done. no sense in pointing out the good some things do for the whole because those people who complain don't care about the whole, they only care about them or thiers. now we all have or own opinions of things but there are almost 30 teams out there this year. and woo has to try to make it as fair as they can for all of them and try to put on a show. not every show will be a barn burner and not every call made by woo will be liked by everyone.

seven races and how many sunday morning promotors do we have now?

Too true Mikey, wish I was there to see it all unfold. The changing of the guard with Donny and Joey has all the makings of being just as thrilling as the Steve, Sammy and Doug shows of the eighties.

I agree 100%. They have already put on some great shows and many, many more to come in the next 10 or more years.

Cheroger, now that was funny.

Nodust, I am in debt. Does that mean I need to quit doing what I am doing?

Mikey, we could beat the positives all day long and give all the facts necessary but there are those who will always find something wrong with the WoO. They must be old anti-Ted Johnson fans. Oh wait, half of these people may not be that old.

Very true. They don't seem to race each other dirty either. Not saying that Steve and Sammy did to each other.....well on the other hand (lol).

Throw in someone like TK and you have a great trio. In all honestly does anyone see Joey, Donny and Tim doing anything else in their careers other than drive a 410 winged sprinter? I think if Joey wanted to venture off into other things he would have a few years ago. I believe TK said a couple of years ago that he's happy doing what he's doing now. And even though Donny hasn't performed that great in his rare USAC dabbles in the last few years, I think if he really wants to go elsewhere he needs to concentrate on that now.

So in the mean time I'll be enjoying "The greatest WoO season in history" when I can this year.

Cubic, you had your chance in Florida and were embarassed like the red haired stepchild you mention. We both know the ONLY hope is the Grove and it's the track not the competition. Stats have shown us this for years but this year might be even tougher for the locals, we'll see.

By the way, over the years the Knoxville regulars have done a much better job on the Outlaws vs. your Posse boys. Their former regulars like Wolfie, Lasoski, Dollansky, McCarl etc. have had much more success against the best in the business. They chose to hit the highway and prove their worth and we are all better for it. Take It Easy.....

i don't really give a crap how much they are in debt. (lets make it clear it is dirt in total that is in debt and a lot of that has nothing to do with woo it just falls under the same umbrella) unless they are dirt stock holders i doubt most people give a crap as well. they could fold up and roll away tomorrow and we would all just find another place to race. but untill that happens i am willing to give them the benifit of the doubt.

the best season ever? i do think that is one thing almost everyone can agree on. just wait until steve gets up there with donny and joey and hard telling who else will have their nose in there. i have roughly 9 races on my schedule for this year and can't wait. i really don't care who wins it as long as they don't run away with it. the woo needs a close points battle like the year mark/danny went down to the last race. i just hope it's someone new.

78: Steve had better get with it. He's already over 100 points behind Schatz and Saldana and it won't be long until he's 200 behind the way they are running.

Pitiful effort again by the wrongrear. What hole and what five times, lol. I don't hide, never have and you are the one that I murder in these forums, your spin is worse than Hannity and about as dumb, it's the one thing you have in common, stupidity. The World of Outlaws have won at almost an 80% rate ( I think the exact number was 79. something) in their history at the Grove, these figures came from Bill Meyer the most respected stat man in Posse country. I have no idea what Knozxville stat you are talking about but I do know that former Knoxville regulars embarass totally what any Posse regular has ever done against the best in the bizness. Get back to selling your stereo systems, maybe you're competent there, leave the facts and realities to those that know better. Take It Easy....

PS Mr Esh was the LUCKIEST winner in Outlaw history, being passed by two Outlaw regulars only to see a caution come out and then rain give it to him. Maybe this year he can earn one by finishing the race in front, he's about your only hope, unless of course the track has it's say, lol.....

Yes and I'm convinced the only reason Esh was able to stay up front so long was because he had so little fuel in the car and ran out right before the caution came out. Thus the car was lighter the whole race. The caution for rain came out at the right time for him. But you have to admit, it was a smart gamble.

The advantage at the Grove for local drivers is so much more than for Knoxville locals. The Grove is a paperclip with relatively flat corners, whereas Knoxville is one of your high-banked half-miles. The PA drivers know the track so well and the outlaws don't because they don't run there every week. Put a track that is an exact image of the Grove in any state and the outlaws would have a tough time, as long as the track had a weekly show.
