For those wondering... I have no results.
Not very many cars showed so I guess they gave them a choice to run or not. I'm not sure what the conditions were but most of the mods that were there packed up and left, a few stayed for hot laps. They refunded the money for the few fans that were there and the anouncer said that they might run one race, I think in the factories, and that those who were there and wanted to stay and watch were welcome to. I stayed for a little bit but then decided to head home so I'm not sure if they ever ran.
Its a cryin' shame not enough cars or fans came out to support this show.
I like dirt!

I agree man i thought about going then again i didnt want to pay to watch 5 cars in Pros and Factories i dont know why the car count is so low i know its cold but if my car was still running id be out there supporting clinton.I know some people dont like Joe but racing is for fun i remeber back when racing was fun to watch it still is but not like before having full classes every weekend but now in western Oklahoma it seems everyone is quitin i dunno why but it makes me sad. If anyone has any answers plz tell me cuz im just a kid looking for answers.

An option was given to the drivers. run for a much reduced purse or get a refund on entry fee and pit passes. yes it was cold, and it was going to get colder, but not any worse than Sat nite, which had some really good racing. Wish we could have stayed and raced but I agreed with the driver, with the reduced purse, it was not worth it. I understand Joe lowering the purse, Nothing else he could do. Sure do wish more cars would have came.
My thoughts, Lorne

Which goes back to my saying that drivers and fans will not support a two day show - or even three days in much of the state of Oklahoma. Is it because times have changed to where you don't want to spend money for extra gas or a hotel room? Is it because of racing formats to where you run heats and whatever on the first night and then on the second night you go straight to the consolation and feature finales? Remember back in the old days you ran heat races, consolation features and then the regular "A" feature and you locked in the top four to the next nights feature? Then that next night you ran a whole new show just as you did the previous night?
Or, have we got so complacent with the remote and the computer and our chairs that all we want to do is run weekly shows one night a week?
