sprint cars and all other forms of racing have been hurt seriously by NASCAR. they have taken over the racing world and the media doesn't even know there are other forms of racing. i can't figure out how or why speed chanel can run 2 hr shows on off road racing and swamp buggys and can't put on a sprint car show !! at least tape them and run them in the winter or something. oh yes,they had a very exciting show about school bus racing and trailer racing and demo derbys...but heavens forbid they should show a sprint car race.

I hear ya loud and clear Top5. The reason those 'other' motorsports are on TV is simple. They were able to obtain sponsors and/or producers to get those shows on the air. Something that has been a struggle with sprint car racing. At that reason is..............there are a heck of a lot more people out there who have things like off-road vehicles and swamp buggy's as hobby items. Thus, they will tune into these shows as they feel they can relate to them.
FYI: You just might be seeing a real sprint car "fan favorite" on TV in one of those off-road truck deals soon......stay tuned!

One thing I will say is that at least Nascar has a commercial out to watch races at your local short track. I do agree that Sprint car racing is not getting the coverage deserved, but at least NASCAR has recogonized local short track racing. Hopefully they can get some clips of Sprint Cars in future commercials!!
