Wow! Where did all you factory stock and pro stock drivers go??? With no other tracks running in the state the car count should of been much better than what it was. I guess
no one wanted to race? The only class that turned out with a decent count was the mods and even their count should of been better. Not very many fans in the stands either... maybe
20 if that. I felt sorry for Joe on this one. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better for him.
Even with the low car count the racing was still good and the track appeared to be pretty good as it was dry enough to rubber up but not so dry that it was dusty.
Factories - 6 or 7 : 14w Earl Whitley
Pro Stocks - 5 : 17m (Sorry. No name. I couldn't understand the announcer.)
Modifieds - 21 :
5 Randy Timms
3 Brad Worley - very impressive run
88 Billy Turner
61 (Sorry. No name. I believe the car is from KS.)
11a Alan Oliva
Mike Roach, Tommy Weder, Jr., and Brandon Kenny were all in the top five for over half the race. Roach and Weder got together off turn four which took both of them out and Brandon Kenny pulled off several laps later I'm guessing with mechanical troubles.

Sorry about the bold. I just meant to bold the headings but the forum has a mind of its own and bolded everything from the first heading down. I've tried changing it but for some reason it won't let me. It'll let me bold other stuff that is not in bold and will let me take the bold away from that stuff... but it won't let me un-bold anything from the first heading down. Odd.

Are you wanting a recap? I'll give you what I can remember.
Factories:
I believe Early Whitley led every lap.
Pros:
Stanley Reed Jr. was leading the heat when he pulled off with mechanical troubles. I'm not sure what broke but I guess he was unable to repair it in time for the A-main. This left four Pro Stocks to run the feature. You wouldn't think it, but surprisingly the four cars that ran put on a pretty good show with three of them fighting for the lead at one point.
Mods:
Randy Timms lead every lap. He was running the top side, as was just about everybody else. Brad Worley found something that worked for him a little lower on the track in the corners and did some impressive passing working his way up to 2nd. He tried making a few runs on Timms, especially on the restarts, but Timms held him off and eventually changed his line and started running a little lower on the track. The 6(1) car from KS worked the bottom of the track coming from near the back to finish fourth.

Wow this new forum is great at times whe nI wrote the last post dogwater it wasnt even attached to the one that it is now that is very interesting. If you didn't go sunday it was a sad day there when it was all said and done and the ones that wanted to stay and race it was very bleak. Thay ended up running 5 mods and 7 Factory/Pro
