With the sactioning bodies looking the other way about cheating, do you think any top teams will be made an example of this year now that there are already more than enough teams anyway?

On the traction control front... It is so prevalent in Central PA that I'm sick of hearing about it, just like everyone else. Everyone is basically deaf to it at this point. Davis is also more brazen than ever at the PRI show and in his marketing. I think the current WoO regime does a better job of policing rules violators than ever before in history. I think at this point it would probably just be easier to make Davis' type of sensor-less traction control system legal however. MSD could probably incorporate a comparable system into their ignition boxes for a couple of hundred extra dollars compared to Davis' $4000+ models. I'm not entirely sure, but the way I read the 2006 WoO late model rule book his system seems like it would be legal anyway to me? (As long as it's not in the cockpit or bluetooth?) Maybe someone else can shed a little light on it? It is definitely illegal in their sprint car rulebook however, even though many teams locally and nationally are still using it.

1.22 Traction Control Devices (Late Model)

a) All traction control devices utilizing wheel sensors, automated brake controls or any means of measuring ground speed to control wheel spin are strictly prohibited.

b) Adjustable ping control devices, dial a chip controls, timing controls, or automated throttle controls are NOT permitted in the cockpit or any other position accessible to the driver.

c) Any remote controlled components inside or outside the cockpit of any competitor’s race car are NOT permitted.

d) No data acquisition systems are permitted.

e) Any competitor found with any of the above will be fined, will be disqualified and could be suspended for up to a year.
