What's the difference between these two shows?

Does one cover one particular series more than the other?

Can you get a podcast subscription to either?

I've never listened to either and don't have a lot of time, so I thought I might get some reviews.

Well, its like this............

JK has a program that is like a sprint car news cast. Kinda like the NBC evening news if you will. He likes to get into the root of the sports infrastructure.

Jackslash, now there's the opposite. Sean (the host), likes doing a news like show with more of a party theme type atmosphere. Very different indeed.

Both shows are good. They just take on different styles.

KOP, that's a somewhat accurate description of the differences between our shows. I'd maybe explain it like this: The Full Throtle Racing Show is more like Meet the Press with Tim Russert with some some additional similarities to opinion shows like O'Reilly. Sean's show is more like Jon Stewart and The Daily Show on Comedy Central, a more relaxed show that can border on the outrageous at times. Both shows serve a purpose and fit the personalities of the host so we probably appeal to different segments of fans.

I try to gear my show towards the "why" and "how" of the sports operation. I try to schedule a good balance of guests from drivers from around the country and different series, but I really try to get a good cross-section of industry people to discuss pertinent issues in the sport...series officials, promoters, manufacturers, car owners, historical legends, media and sponsors, ect. I'm not afraid to tackle the hot topics of racing...we've done shows involving things like foreign manufacturing of racing components, last year's WoO/NST debate (from every possible angle), racing rules and formats, financial aspects of racing, 410's vs.360's and much more. The show can at times be opinionated and I'm not afraid to take people to task when I think it's deserved but I've always tried to offer both sides of an issue in a fair and balanced way. You'll probably get a steady dose of coverage from 410 winged racing and some non-winged racing at times, not much from 360's but you will get to hear from drivers from coast-to-coast. I try to stay topical so much of the time I look at what just occured over the last weekend before lining up guests for that week's show. Overall, I'm more of a traditionalist and kind of conservative in what I try to do. I've always liked the old one-on-one interview type shows so I guess that's the format I try to follow.

I like Sean's show and Rob Klepper's USAC show on Race Fan Radio. I especially liked Sean's show the other night with Bobby Gerould and Keven Eckert. Just some guys talking racing with some good insight. The shows are well produced and more technically sofisticated than mine.. Those shows probably concentrate more on the non-wing variety and seem to be more driver oriented than what I do. Sean's personality is 'out there" a little more than mine, so he probably does things more on the edge than I would ever attempt to try. But, it's good stuff.

As far as podcasting...I don't know that much about it or if my agreement with Go Live Sports would even allow it. I'll have to look into it and would like to do it if possible and financially resonable.

Bottom line is this...we both do shows that appeal to the sport's fans and the industry as a whole. The shows are very different but both reflect the passion we have for the sport. I hope you can find time for both on a regular basis.
