That is the what Brill Motor Speedway promoter Mark Brill requested so those are the nights/dates that he received. He wanted drivers to be able to compete with the series and be able to compete at their weekly track on the weekends.
Back when NCRA started and years after, NCRA ran a majority of their shows on Sunday nights as "special events" and they were huge.

Friday, Saturday and or Sunday are one thing. Wednesday is another. Choices will be made and I do not believe wednesday will be a top choice. Time will tell. JMO

you know how many months in advance... schedule a day off if you want to attend.

has the may 6 races been cancelled at brill?

The originally scheduled May 6th event for the NCRA sport modifieds has been moved to Saturday night, May 30th.
