I apologize to our listeners for the trouble we experienced with DIRTVision.com during the first week of the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. The site was hacked and flooded with malicious denial of service attacks multiple times throughout the week.
On Sunday night we were able to isolate the problem and switch servers. Due to time constraints in moving the site during the race program, we were not able to load all of the services (such as chat and race notes) to which our users have grown accustomed. We have now finished loading the new server and will use it throughout the second half of the DIRTcar Nationals.
Moving into 2007, DIRT Motorsports chose to make major commitments to our fans on the Internet front, including the new design and recent launch of WorldofOutlaws.com. In addition to new series Web sites, part of this new initiative is a new version of DIRTVision.com. We have enlisted a well know Web development company to help with the design of the new site. This company has an impressive portfolio that includes sites such as LPGA.com and NTRA.com. They have committed vast resources to revamp DIRTVision.com with the latest technology in broadcasting live video.
The new DIRTVision.com will roll out this spring as the race season gains speed and cover most races for the remainder of the season.
Those users who have signed up and paid for the DIRTCar Nationals before Feb. 11 will receive discounted season Cyber passes when new site launches. After the DIRTCar Nationals, the DIRT Radio Network at DIRTVision.com will continue to broadcast live audio from World of Outlaws events.

...a good move on DIRTVisions part...
...I would further suggest another FREE preview before accepting subscriptions...it would probably help to let PAYING customers see that all problems have been fixed before they spend any more money...

Good news and I like your idea, I am not paying for it until I know it works.

I am like pumpman, I will wait until I know it works. But you can rest assured if it works, and in due time I know it will, you will have a new customer.

Apparently they have added a 2nd server for DRN. I logged in
late (just before the Dash) and found the "Race Notes" was dead.
When I inquired about it on Chat, "ozko4" said the 2nd server didn't
have Race Notes. It performed OK all night. Just a few
buffering sessions and no major dropouts.
As far as the Cybercasts, they are still saying the new website will come online "Mid-March". Well, that is real soon now, if not passed already. We'll see shortly if they make that debut.

its been a while since we have heard anything from dirtvision about new website cybercast scedule or anything for that matter. Has anyone heard anything since this old media release? This month has now almost passed as well. No cybercasts since Florida, hmm just wondering how long it will be now before we hear something concrete or posative on this. Fans are waiting Dirtvision how about some hope.
