With the Help of Lucas Oil, Richest Weekly Purse Gets Richer in 2009!

(Bill W) Knoxville Raceway has had the richest paying weekly 410 sprint car purse in the world for some time, but the pot just got bigger! Thanks to the help of Lucas Oil all weekly 410 purses will be upped over $2,300!

Though features will still pay $3,000 to win, the money will be distributed from second on back, paying $600 to start the main event! The purse will be in effect for all "regular" Knoxville Championship Cup Series events. The 2009 season is scheduled to start April 25 with Pizza Hut/Lion's Club Night!

Regular "Knoxville Championship Cup Series" Feature events for the 410 class will pay as follows: 1. $3000 2. $2500 3. $2000 4. $1500 5. $1000 6. $900 7. $850 8. $800 9. $775 10. $750 11. $725 12. $700 13. $650 14. $645 15. $640 16. $625 17-20. $600

Those expected to compete for the 410 Knoxville Championship Cup in 2009 include 2007 champion Brian Brown, 2006 champ Billy Alley, two-time track champion Skip Jackson, Mark Dobmeier, Dusty Zomer, Davey Heskin, Calvin Landis, Dion Hindi and many more!

Stay tuned to www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com for any driver developments by clicking on "Drivers" and view the purse structure in the "Championship Cup" section! On the website, you can order tickets, check out the schedule, or peruse our historical statistics for hours!
