Congrats Mr. Naylor on a very well deserved (and maybe late in coming) award!!
I've been going to Ventura since the late 70's to watch TQ's, and I even ran a few kart race's on both the small and big track in the 80's. There certainly have been some great drivers there in all divisions and some barn burners there in TQ's, midgets and Sprints!
When I first heard they were going to run midgets at my little track at the beach, i was excited, when I heard they were going to run sprint cars, I thought Jim was crazy! Sure glad they did, as Ventura raceway just might of saved 410 racing in So Cal forever!
Back in the 70's, or even 80's, who would of ever thought Ventura would have their own Sprint Car Division, let alone two if you count their Senior Division. Ventura Raceway and Jim are what everything is good about open wheel dirt racing and if you have a free Saturday Night, there is nothing better than a night "At the Best Little Dirt Track In America"
