This is what I posted on another forum:
KFVS Channel 12 Television in Cape Girardeau is reporting that the NAPA Auto Tire & Parts Racepark in Benton, Missouri will be reopening this spring. They will be racing Sprints, modifieds, street stocks and hobby stocks on Friday nights. Billy Clayton of Race Track Promotions LLC said that they plan to open the second Friday in April. The report said that they are planning on 27 weeks of racing. They also interviewed Todd Rowland who said that he had been hearing some rumors of the track reopening and said that he would need to talk to his father to see if they would return to racing.
I suspect that this is the Billy Clayton from Sikeston that raced the 155 sprint car at Benton and Farmington in the mid 1990's. And no, I do not know if he is related to the "Modern Day Cowboy" Deron Clayton. Note: This is the Billy Clayton that I suspected. He has promoted ATV and other races at another track. He and Daron are reported to be second cousins.
