I am looking to attend Port Royal's March 21-22 weekend of racing. Port Royal starts at 4pm on March 21. I saw Selinsgrove starts at 2pm that day as well. They are about 45 minutes apart. Based on how these tracks run and get through shows, is it possible to hit both? I know I would miss the start of Port Royal's show. Also, I know Port Royal is supposed to be a great track and we will be there Sunday either way. Is Selinsgrove worth going to for this or should I just stick to Port Royal both days??? Sure wish one track could start at noon and the other at 5 so we could see both with no problem!

In the old days, fans used to routinely make the daily double when both ran 410's on a Saturday night. In the beginning of the season, both tracks would work together just so fans could see both on the same day. A big caravan would immediately drive the 36 miles down Route 35 in time to see the nightly action. If you have never been to Selinsgrove I would highly reccomend trying to do both. The promotors at Selinsgrove have worked hard and have dumped a lot of money (although not like Port Royal) into making the track and viewing so much better for the fans. The sheer speed of Selinsgrove is something to see and I am sure the Big Block Modifieds will not disappoint.

Thanks for the heads up. Would really like to hit both. Maybe we will start out at Selinsgrove and see how it is going. I guess there is a chance we could still make the features at Port Royal.

The old Labor Day doubleheader was one of my favorite things as a little kid.
