38-Event 2020 Sprint Car Bandits and Texas Sprint Series Calendar & Schedules Released!

Garland, TX (09/13/19) by DarinShort.com. With yesterday’s announcement of the DFW-based 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits® (SCB) series and RaceSaver IMCA Texas Sprint Series (TSS) synergistic alliance, over three dozen series events have now been booked for the 2020 racing season…and all 38 have been booked on separate dates from each other. Meaning, race fans in the DFW and surrounding areas do not have to pick or choose one track or another, like in the past, when they want to watch a TSS or SCB series event!

As mentioned in yesterday’s announcement, there are no planned changes to either series’ rules or procedures with this new collaboration – as we are focusing on scheduling, advertising and marketing for both series in order provide a larger combined footprint of publicity to attract more fans to each racing venue.

A very limited number of events in each series are remaining. If you are an area track promoter or owner that would like to book dates, please email Darin at [email protected] ASAP with your preferred event dates (and series selection) along with your contact information and we’ll get back in touch immediately to confirm those dates or available alternative. Each series is limiting the travel distance to about 150 miles of the DFW Metroplex. We will provide updated schedules if/when they are adjusted.

In 2019, the Sprint Car Bandits debuted a ‘Summer Break’ so teams could take advantage of popular national level sprint car events or have a family vacation…all while avoiding the extreme Texas summer heat potential. The SCB Summer Break ended up being highly successful, so in 2020 both the TSS and SCB will have a formal Summer Break, which can be viewed at the schedules below.

Here’s the schedules at this moment in time, and they are also available in a monthly calendar format, at the following link in PDF format: www.SprintCarBandits.com then click the top link on the home page.

Sprint Car Bandits and Texas Sprint Series Create Synergistic Alliance for 2020 Racing Season

Garland, TX (09/12/19) by DarinShort.com. Officials of the DFW-based Sprint Car Bandits® (SCB) series and Texas Sprint Series (TSS) are pleased to announce they have formed a synergistic alliance for the 2020 racing season – and beyond. For those unfamiliar, the SCB is a 360C.I. Sprint Car series and the TSS is a RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car group.

There is some crossover with the drivers that choose to race in both series, but that is not the focus of this alliance – growing track fan attendance is.

This collaborative effort will allow each series to book events at area tracks in a manner that will allow them a much higher level of fan retention, as the goal is to have one series, or the other, racing on one night only. Little, if any, rules changes in each respective series are anticipated by this new alliance.

Timing for this collaboration has been set into motion with the recent reopening of Boyd Raceway, with Richard Snider at the helm – Richard also operates the Texas Sprint Series.

Snider comments: “With Boyd Raceway reopening, it requires my full-time attention, and the Texas Sprint Series has such a great group of racers. The reality is sinking in that I can’t handle both without one affecting the other. “

Snider continues: “That being said, I’ve been a big fan of the Sprint Car Bandits series and have been to several of their events the past four seasons. The fan excitement they create with the Fan Fests and quality of racing is electrifying. Plus, they understand the economics of sprint car racing on each side of the fence – and to the track operators as well. So, I cannot think of a better arrangement than for the ‘Bandits to handle the day-to-day operations, such as creating an intertwined schedule and event marketing for the Texas Sprint Series.”

“We plan to host several events at Boyd Raceway for both the SCB and TSS in 2020, and I’m really excited about the future of both groups – and the health and sustainability of sprint car racing – in the Metroplex and surrounding areas. In this day and age we need as much cooperation between series and tracks as possible, and this is a giant leap in the right direction.” Snider concludes.

Darin Short (Sprint Car Bandits co-founder) comments: “Booking events at area tracks has always been such an arduous and complex task, and it can take months of work and planning to create an effective schedule for the upcoming racing season. With this new collaboration, it will take one significant variable out of the formula, as now we will know what nights are available – and which ones aren’t – so we don’t double-book events on top of each other unknowingly. We want to help to maximize fan turnout at all these events. And fans not having to choose one sprint race or the other is a good step in the right direction to meeting that goal. We fully plan to have a combined schedule that doesn’t have both series racing on the same night during the entire season, which will be a revolutionary accomplishment for Sprint Car racing in this region.”

Short continues: “Many tracks don’t release their schedules at the same time, so you can be left hanging wondering if the event dates you have booked will stick once they release theirs. Now we’ll know, as we’ll be booking the events and the individual track schedules are no longer an issue, as we’ll know when both series’ will be racing well in advance of the full track schedules are released.”

Will Eggimann, Principal with the SCB comments: “There are so many positive scenarios with this alliance that make sense for teams, fans, marketing partners and promoters – and that’s been our ultimate goal all along with the SCB.”

Eggimann continues: “We will also expand the online visibility of the TSS, which in turn will help with added fan-awareness and track attendance.”

A limited number of events in each series will be booked in 2020. If you are an area track promoter or owner that would like to book dates, please email Darin at [email protected] ASAP with your preferred event dates (and series selection) along with your contact information and we’ll get back in touch immediately to confirm those dates or available alternative dates – as area tracks are gobbling up race dates already. Both series’ are limiting the travel distance to about 150 miles of the DFW Metroplex.
