Someone mentioned the low purse at River Cities and that they are the only weekly 410 show in the area.

Made me ask why Minot or West Fargo dont hold weekly or at least regular 410 shows since there is obvisously enough in the state. Any theories?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Honestly from my time living in ND I would say most people on the Western side of the state are mod fans don't much car about Sprints. The majority of the extra people who come out for the Sprint shows are casual type fans. If you look at track pages when they have a sprint car show you see a bunch of modified fans complaining about the increased GA cost for Sprints that they don't care about. There are a lot of tracks in ND that would be great for Sprints weekly (Devils Lake, Jamestown, Minot, Williston, Mandan, and probably the raciest track in ND Southwest Speedway in Dickinson). What would probably work best is a 410 series like NOSA but for the Western side of the state, or an ASCS region, or something. As long as they don't crank the GA up to $25 I think it would be successful.

Just to clarify, my previous post was not a knock to Grand Forks at all, heck that is one of my favorite tracks, and if they can continue to get the cars to show up and put on a show it does not matter what the purse is. The NOSA series honestly has a good thing going right now, with the tracks they do run. I too though, think a race in Jamestown again would be a good thing. Seen an ASCS NP race there many years back.

If what youre doing is working there is no point in changing it. I was simply pointing out that there was another track with an even lower payout than Lernerville, and I can't recall a protest about it up in that region.
