Wonder how much it will hurt the Weikert weekend with the Outlaws now having a two day show in Carolina and The All Stars in Ohio? Last two years some Outlaws came to the Weikert  after Friday and last year even Schatz ran his Late Model.

In all honesty, it was nice to get Shark racing last year and a few others, but I do not think it will hurt much at all in terms of the crowd. The race has become a nice addition on the schedule for the local teams to win a few bucks and I think it will be just fine in my opinion.

Not to mention the Port weekend is Saturday/Sunday whereas both the WoO and ASCoC are both Friday/Saturday.  So reallistically some teams could still come to the Sunday show at Port and run for the $10k. Although the WoO run on Monday so it would be tight for them but the All Stars do not. The weekend will be just fine.

I don't know how much it will hurt them. I mean I probably would have gone both nights (Sat/Sun) but have now booked flights and hotels for Charlotte. I'm pretty happy about it. I love any excuse to go to Charlotte, and not only that I'm flying home Sunday morning in time to make it to Port for the Sunday show so it was a win-win in my book. Not that anyone is missing out if they are "stuck" watching a $10k to win show at Port on Saturday as well.

I think you're right. I did like this show better when it was an All Star show because it brought several more top teams which made it more of a special show in but I think it'll be ok.

I liked it better as an all star show too. It was 1 of the best shows of the year.
