Yesterday as Rob Kubli was tearing his sprintcar down to rebuild for next year, he was removing the fuel cell and static electricity had to set the funes on fire and it exploded in his hands.  He has second degree burns all over his chest, check, and right side of his face.  He was life flighted to Iowa City to the burn unit.  As of today they are monitoring for swelling.  He seems to be in good spirits.  It will be some time before he can return to work. So any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  Please share this to as many of the racing community as possible, so we can make people aware of the possibility of this happening.

Go fund me for Rob Kubli

I am sure that this is very rare, but has there been others?  How do you take static elect. off of tank.  I saw the picture of his tail tank and it was split open length wise. A  real freak deal.

We work with highly flammable liquids which will easily ignite with static electricity. Our saving grace is to ensure every component that we use whether it be equipment, containers during transfer, what have you, Every thing must have a commom ground.
