EXCITING 2019 SEASON PLANNED AT CANYON SPEEDWAY PARK

December 01, 2018 Peoria, Arizona - The end of the year has arrived and our CSP staff wishes everyone a safe, peaceful and healthy holiday season.

Only the annual Pit Party event scheduled for Saturday December 15, 2018 remains.

We then look forward to tradition as the new year begins with a four round Winter Challenge series. These day races will be headlined by the IMCA Modified divisions best racers from throughout the USA and Canada. The 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star qualifier main events will payout $1k to each winner.

February 9th will see the third annual Steve Stroud Memorial race. Traditional San Tan non-wing 360ci Sprint car's will battle it out in their season opener for a $2k to win payday.

A midweek February 13th "Desert Classic" show will bring in over 100 IMCA modified and northern sportmod race teams as part of the Arizona Mod Tour.

The popular "CSP Meltdown" double-header will open the season for ASCS wing Sprint car's on February 22 & 23. The first ever Western States Dwarf Car Nationals will accompany the ticket.

March 2nd's "CSP Howler" race headlined by their 29th season at the Peoria oval; Modified teams will lead the way. The track point season also begins March 2nd with five IMCA divisions. CSP Micro 600's will close out their 3rd race of the season on the smaller infield track at the facility.

Plan on a packed house for the March 8th & 9th "Spring Showcase". Amsoil USAC-CRA/SW 410ci non-wing Sprint car's and IMCA Modified teams please the fans.

A good old fashioned "Ladies Night" is scheduled for March 16th. Five dollar general admission tickets for all women attending the event. Ground pounding Late Models and Stock car's will entertain the crowd.

Mark your calendars for a favorite camping weekend at CSP for the March 29 & 30 "Sunset Showdown". Traditional San Tan non-wing 360ci Sprint car's and IMCA Modified teams return.

After a small spring break, April 20th's "Easter Egg-Stravaganza" will thrill the young ones with an intermission Easter egg hunt, Late Models and Stock Cars.

April 27th is host to the "State 48 Classic" with USAC 410ci non-wing Southwest Sprint car's and IMCA Modifieds.

May 18th's "Duel at the Diamond" as Late Models, Modifieds and Sport Mods duel with thirty lap main events.

This season will feature a Saturday May 25 & Sunday May 26 "Memorial Salute" holiday weekend. Traditional San Tan non-wing 360ci Sprint car's pay tribute. Other divisions include Stocks, Hobby's, Micros & Modlites.

June 8th's "CSP Birthday Bash & Kids Bike Give-Away" has become a stable at the track. USAC 410ci non-wing Southwest Sprint car's, Modifieds, Sportmods, Stocks and Micros will participate in the action.

The "Allscapes Back to School Backpack Giveaway" on July 20th. Late Models, Modifieds and Stocks headline the summer night.

Labor day weekend August 31 & September 01, IMCA Modifieds battle it out for a pair of $1k to win paydays. Sunday nights 77-lap "Stock Car Shootout & Dan Shepherd Memorial" will award the winner another $1k. Hobby's and Sport Compacts race for elevated purses.

September 14th's "Southwest Championship" night the USAC 410ci non-wing Southwest Sprint car's get it done.

September 28, "Night of Champions" is the final track point show for CSP's five IMCA divisions.

On October 12th, "CSP Octoberfest" returns the fast ASCS wing Sprint car's joined by Late Models.

Rounding out the seasons race schedule the "Harvest Hustle" has become not only a tradition but one of the tracks highlighted events! November 29th & 30th, Late Models, Modifieds, Sportmods, Dwarf cars and Modlites pack the place.
