That'd be interesting.
Wasn't he the original driver of the 27?

Ryan was the first driver of the Heffner sprinter. Heffner bought his first car off of a former racer named Chad Jumper. It was a black #28 and Ryan Smith drove it a handful of times at the end of the 2008 season.

Glad to hear the 27 will be returning. As for who the new driver may be ? I think most are going to be surprised at the choice.

So many good options out there for this car - would love to see someone like Grasso get an opportunity though.

Another rumor circulating around the area is that Port Royal has parted ways with Shawn Brouse. Don't know how true that is because it's literally just a rumor as far as I know. I did notice he wasn't in any photos I saw from the banquet. Maybe that's what got the rumor started?

Just a guess based on the prior comments of ex-Outlaw and ex-ASCOC champion, Dale Blaney. That would be awesome for PA to get him back on a regular basis and running a more competitive car and more races than his last time here.

Nothing against Ryan Smith or Rahmer but I hope they do get someone without a ride as Pa. is in need of more cars and more good cars so it would be a shame to see two teams go together.
Anyone of the three Ohio drivers without a ride would be a good choice,or even one of the Cal. goys their is alot of talent out there.

I understand your concerns for the car counts here in Central PA, but this would be a great opportunity for a family owned team like the Rahmers to give a young and talented driver a chance to get themselves into more big stage events with equal competition. Ryan Smith as well, as he has officially been named the 27 cars new driver.
