I'll start by saying how much I respect Bobbi Johnson, Phil and that team for deciding to go racing.  And I respect whatever everyone associated with that team decides to do in the future...whether to keep running or shut down and sell.

But I have to say I am so impressed with everyone on that team and Carson Macedo.  Besides performing well everyone was so positive, so professional, including Carson.  They just seemed like a big family.   And talk about a young kid who gets it and is just looks, talks, and drives the part.

IF... and I know it's a big IF... Bobbi was to keep JJR going, and all of their great sponsors and partners and mechanics stay together and built a team with Carson I think they would be unbelivable for the sport...easily one of the most popular teams if not the most popular, and compete very well with Donny, Brad, and David who are easily the top 3 of the sport right now.

I know they would be my favorite team.  And even if they don't, I just have so much respect and gratitude for what they did the last two weeks.  I'm sure Jason was very proud of his team.  Well done!!!

Considering the fact that they accepted donations and had a benefit auction it looks as though JJR is not going to continue. Would have been cool if it did though.

Could be wrong, but I think the auction and donations are to help support Bobbi and Jaxx personally and has nothing to to with the race team.

There’s been rumors that they’re going to race the National Open.

It’s really going to depend on how much Macedo and sponsors can continue to fund for him to stay in that ride, he had to pay to play in that car ....

Well they tweeted out today to stay tuned for the next race JJR will be at, so there will be at least one more and national open makes most sense if Carson is going to continue running. I could see the team maybe getting enough funds from sponsors to continue on a very limited schedule next year hitting the big races, but I doubt they’ll be full time traveling unless they merge with some other team or get serious financial backing

Are you sure he had to pay to play in that car  ???? Lets see what i hear is they wanted Jason Myers to wheel the car and he put Carsons name out there for the ride Carson had been talking to Jason about bringing his car back to Knoxville and Carson wheeling it ....Myers and Tommy were wanting to do something to help Bobbi and Jaxx and decided to jump on board with some sponsorship ,,,, Mvt and all the sponsers they all ready had were on the 360 car and all were there on the 410 car also ...From what i have seen as to   who all were back there   i am sure there might be something in the works for next yr,,,...

The auction and all the fund raising had nothing to do with the race team it is going in a trust fund for Jaxx,

Carson is second in points currently with the All Stars, just 4 points behind Aaron Reutzel. Joe Gaerte has given Carson a great horse all year - can you really see him dumping that ride now?

I wouldn't think so.   I could be mistaken, but when they announced Carson in the ride didn't they mention further races as Carson's schedule permits?    Thought I remembered that being said.    If that's the case it should like a few more big races this year and then next year who knows.

Go listen to Open Red where Carson is the guest. You wont have to speculate so much on things.

Thanks for the heads up on the interview, I can't wait to check it out. But I'm not speculating on anything, I know for a fact he had to pay to pilot the 41. I'm not trying to downplay him wheeling the car in any way. He's a great fit for the 41 and he did a hell of a job driving it.

When Jason was driving the 41 are you suggesting that he wasn't paying something to drive that car? I don't understand what you are getting at...

Someone, somewhere is dishing out money to make every car go around the race track.

One must remember that the 41 was racing the nationals  with someone in the seat before it was ever mentioned that it was going to be Carson!!!!

My point is, whatever makes the best finacial sense for the team will be the motivating factor on who they will put in the seat, merge with another team or just sell everything. And your absolutely right, someone has to pony up the cash ...
