No matter how people feel about this topic, it is a valid one! It is extremely terrible what happened to Jason, but it is a business, and there are obligations to their sponsors. It will be interesting what happens next?

I my brother died a week prior to this, and it sucks, and know what the family is going through!

So sorry to hear about your loss. May your brother rest in peace. It is definitely a valid question and I don't know the in's and out's of how that team functions but my only hope is, the keep a car or 2 of his so that 20 years from now, there's still that piece of history for everyone to enjoy. Jason was one of the best of his generation no doubt and I think there is little doubt that he'll be in the Hall of Fame. A while back, Williams Grove had a Walt Dyer tribute race and the 1996 National Open winning car driven by Lance Dewease was on display in the infield and it was so cool to see it in it's original state. Beautiful car.

Bobbi said in a interview at the nationals that if Philip Dietz would stick with her she would want to continue with Jason s dream whi ch was to at some point become just a car owner and put some up and comming driver in the car ...check out her interview with Wade Aunger at the Nationals ..I am pretty sure the team continues and races the 41 car in Jasons honor i predict that it is already set on what the plans are and who the driver is and what there scedule will be just wating for the season to be over to anounce it.

They’re running the Jacksonville to Eldora swing plus The 2 day Port show with Macedo.

Heard from a pretty relible source that they were interviewing someone at the Grone on Friday my guess is that its Gio Selzi since they had plenty of time to interview Carson or Stewart before Friday.

Just my guess!!!!!!

Well considering this Saturday is the last All-Star race, and presumably Carson’s last committed race with the 3G it makes sense that he’d then be announced for that ride, out of respect for the 3G.

Yes Macedo will be leaving the 3G, but not for the 41& JJR ...

The rumor was Macedo to the 2, Stewart to the 41.

I have no inside info, but I would have thought Gravel to the 2 makes more sense if he’s leaving CJB. But who knows?

Larson from califonia, Macedo as well. Shane was best buds with Jason. If Gravel is indeed gone he may be back in the family car. Let the Silly season begin

Why is that?

Because Gravel has a far more accomplished record than Macedo. But perhaps Gravel has other things lined up.
