Sprint Car Bandits ‘Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX Inc.’ at Superbowl  Speedway Sat. June 9th!

Mesquite, TX (05/16/18) by DarinShort.com. The 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits series is pleased to announce the Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX Inc. at Superbowl Speedway near Greenville Texas on Saturday, June 9th.

This unique event will reward the winning driver a minimum of $2,000 to win, and possibly up to $2,800 to win. By the efforts of primary event sponsors Rodd Hanna’s Air Performance (Rockwall, TX) and BRODIX Inc. (Mena, AR), the feature race will be extended from 25 laps to 35.

At the time of writing, a minimum of $2,150 added cash will be paid out in bonus money on June 9th!

Rodd Hanna, owner of www.AirPerformanceDFW.com has a 20+ year friendship and business relationship with the Brotherton family, owners of www.BRODIX.com and between all of them they’ve been great supporters of sprint car racing throughout the years. They’ve also collaborated on R&D with Rodd’s sprint car, that has primarily been driven by Pete Butler.

Rodd and Pete picked up the Short Track Nationals championship at I-30 Speedway in 1996. Rodd’s car has been side-lined recently while Pete has been recovering from some racing, and non-racing related injuries. Rodd is unsure at the time of writing if his car will compete in this event…but we will keep you posted.

Here’s how the bonus money for the Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX will work:

- After the completion of lap 25, there will be lap money paid out to the race leader in the amount of $50/lap for laps 26-28, and lap 30.
- Lap 29 will pay the feature race leader $200 from Air Performance (Rodd’s car number)
- Laps 31-34 will pay each lap leader $100/lap.
- Lap 35 will pay the final lap leader $200 (in addition to the $1,800/win) for a total of $2,000 to win.
- IN ADDITION, Rodd Hanna is sponsoring $250 in the AIR PERFORMANCE ‘KEEP IT COOL’ Bonus. The recipient(s) of that special prize money will go to the driver that is running in the last place on the lead lap for every lap 26-35 and will be paid in the amount of $25 per lap! (For example, let’s say that all 20 cars finish on the lead lap and you were in last the final 10 laps, you’ll receive $550 for 20th instead of $300.)

Translated, at this exact moment, if you lead laps 26 through 35 at the Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX Inc., you’ll be taking home a cool $2,800 cash! We will post new lap sponsors or added awards as they become known.

The 35-lap feature pays down generously to $300 to start (see below for complete breakdown). All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and just a $15 nightly draw fee.

If you would like to sponsor any of the laps, just email Darin at [email protected] with the lap(s) you would like to sponsor along with your contact/business information. Cash is due at the track by race day prior to the start of the event (give to Steve). Even if you're a driver or fan and you want to sponsor your car number's lap in the feature, that works too! Lap sponsors are $50 or $100/lap. It's your choice.

Sprint Car teams: you are highly encouraged to get involved by providing a lap award for the feature event…as it’s going all back to you, the racers – so let’s see how big, collectively, we can make it! And it doesn’t have to be for a leader, you can be creative.

For example, Steve Lang of the L&S Motorsports www.lang14.com sprint car is putting up $100 to the 14th place running car on lap 14 in the feature race. Again, sprint teams: please get involved! Let’s get this event really rocking!

There’s more?! Yes, the BRODIX BONUS: BRODIX Inc. will be giving the first 30 sprint teams that sign in at the SCB table on race night a BRODIX GIFT BAG…so make sure you’re in the pits and signed up in time to get one! What’s inside it?! You’ll just have to be one of the first 30 SCB teams signing in to find out!

Rodd Hanna's Air Performance opened in Rockwall, Texas in January 1993 with a goal to provide DFW residents with personalized, quality air conditioning and heating services - at a fair price. They have since served thousands of households, including many commercial accounts. They are also a proud sponsor of the Sprint Car Bandits series. Click www.AirPerformanceDFW.com to visit them online.

Superbowl Speedway is located at 437 FM 1903 Greenville, TX and is quite easy to get to. The main entrance is first and is for race fans going to the stands. The second exit off of corner 4 is for the pit entrance.

On race day, the track phone number is (903) 883-2504 or click http://www.facebook.com/superbowlspeedway for the track Facebook page. The first green flag on Saturday June 9th is slated for 8pm. Superbowl Speedway divisions will round out the full night of racing.

35-lap SCB feature race base payback for Saturday, June 9th: $1,800 (includes $600 cash from BRODIX…plus $200 from Air Performance for leading lap 35, technically making it $2,000 to win), $1,000 (including $200 from Air Performance), $600, $500, $400, $390, $380, $370, $360, $350, $340, $330, $320, $310, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300. $100 for non-qualifiers or non-starters. No entry fee or series membership fee; $15 draw-in fee.

As a reminder, all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (maximum 360) and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All drivers make sure to read/adhere to the posted rules at the series website prior to heading to the track.

We would like to thank the sponsors of the Sprint Car Bandits series: Rodd Hanna's Air Performance, A&M Glass Service, Palm Harbor Homes, Kustom Craft Exhibits, Gen-Tech at FixYourGenerator.com, Mow Time in Farmersville, RockAuto.com, Pro-Tech Service Co., Scott Baylor Racing Engines, American Elevator Technologies, South Dallas Battery & Electric Co., Gary Floyd Homes, Utility Trailer of Dallas, Inc., DFW Urethane, Valvoline Express Care of Seagoville, BRODIX Inc., and the SCB points fund is sponsored by Smiley’s Racing Products & Hoosier Tire Southwest.

If your business is interested in getting involved with the SCB series, please contact Mary Lang directly at: [email protected] or by calling 469-474-8234. There are effective programs available for all sizes of budgets.

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for the latest in series news. You can also reach the SCB on Facebook, at www.Facebook.com/SprintCarBandits

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment), yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition, with teams of varying budget sizes.

That rules package certainly has the vote of many of the drivers in the region, as thus far, 65 have competed with the series in the first five events of 2018. Series rules are posted at the link above and will be followed at each SCB event, so make sure your car is compliant before arriving at the track.

Between the lower operating cost of the SCB series and the addition of sponsor funds into nightly purses, it is allowing more area race tracks to book events - which all translates into DFW area fans getting to see quality sprint car race at a lower grandstand ticket price.

When you combine those components with lower nightly competitor operating purses, it all equals one thing: the new Sprint Car Bandits series!

And just that quickly, three new lap and event sponsors have come in!

Estes Brothers Racing (72, 74, 74E) are putting up $50 to the 7th place driver at the end of lap 7, and Skyvue Corp. is paying $50 to the 4th place driver of lap 4!

Davis Drug & Alcohol Testing L.L.C. of Godley Texas is sponsoring $100 to the High Point Driver at the Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX, Inc.!

Thank you to Trudy for your support!

Let’s keep this ball rolling and see just how big we can make this event! Just email Darin at [email protected] with your sponsor/contact info and what you’d like to do. And if you’d like to talk with me, just email me your contact info and I’ll get back to you.

Feel free to be creative, and it doesn’t matter on this end if you want to do something on a lap number that already has a sponsor on it.  :)
