Anyone who watched Dirtvision last night is likely saying the same thing.  This kid was simply remarkable all night long.

He was Quick Qalifier, Won his Heat, started about 5th and lead a good chunk of the Feature before getting tangled with Sheldon as he was passing him (I think, hard to tell on replay).  He went high, low or wherever he needed to go and was always going forward it seemed.  At one point in the A, Mr. Gibson said he was a full half second Faster than everybody on the track, wow.

Don't know much about him but if there were some sponsors out there watching, live or on Dirtvision this might be someone to look into.  Would be anxious to hear from some Hosers that know a lot more about him and his sprint racing career etc.  Thanks in Advance and great job whoever you are.....

Have not recorded any results from him before 2017 (winged races), runs non-wing also.  Won a All-Star race last year at Macon, IL...

Would have to see more than one good performance on a small track with a lot of moisture to be impressed

Hey Karl Kinser (Easy E), how are you, still a tough guy to impress huh?  Running a half second faster than every other car on the track in the A isn't impressive, hmmmm.  Quick time and started 4th, lead 20 laps, left Larson and Schatz in the dust, nothing here to be impressed by, lol....what a moron......This guy has how many W of O starts, 3, 4 or ?....Had you watched the race you might not be saying such a dumb thing, if you did watch it, you need a new seeing eye dog, yours is blind.....

A lot of guys have had really good half nights against the WOO.  Unfortunately they don't pay much for half the night.  His way of passing both nights, or attempting to pass as it were, was to just dive bomb across and make, or hope, the other car would give him room.  Many did because they didn't want to end up in a pile like Sheldon did.  He was on the gas I'll give him that.  But I'd have been more impressed if he had found a way to pass anyone without just running them out of room against the fence.

Karl Kinser may have put the tri state tacky track set up of the century on the car. I didn't see the whole race but yea I'll need more evidence.

Yo' Mo, sounds like he beats your favorite regularly.  I can't say for sure what happened in the Sheldon deal but I thought he was ahead at the time, hard to say.  Never saw him touch another car all night, saw multiple sliders and dive passes by a guy that appeared to be in control and going forward, which he was.  You know this guy is good already when he has haters this early on, lol.

PS  Mo, you've already established your feelings, where does he beat your guy on a regular basis?

Peck ran a clean race. Had Sheldon cleared by 3 to 4 feet Sheldon drove into his left rear. Check 3:21 mark on Outlaw

highlight video.

Thanks man, I saw it that way but my eyes aren't the best anymore plus I am a big Sheldon fan.  I watched this Peck guy every time he was on the track and he showed me lots.  My 500 plus 'live' Outlaw shows, most from trackside give me a bit of experience to comment from methinks.  Still haven't heard from anyone who knows anything about this guy's background, come on folks, help me out.  Is he the kind of guy looking to do this full-time, how much lap time does he have, decent backers, where's he from, that kind of info.  Thanks in advance....

Don't think I've ever seen the kid race before.  Definitely not a hater.  He was definitely fast.  I just like to see guys make different lines work instead of making everyone they pass lock up the brakes.  I think that takes more skill than just hold it down and hope everyone gives you room when you come through.  I've never been a big fan of throwing RRs at everyone.  But it seems to becoming more and more that way.  That's about all I see at midget races.  And it's becoming more common in sprints.  Especially with the younger kids.  JMO.

You saw it the same way I did........and I'd like to have a dollar for every driver that at one time or another looked good against the Outlaws and was tagged the next whoever......just sayin. Today's cars create a lot of great one nighters or surprises from unexpexted drivers :).

I'm with you, man. I thought he raced hard and clean. You are running with the Outlaws and leading the first 30 laps and looking for your first win. You gotta take the damn thing. You're not there to play pattycake.

Would Jason Johnson be known as a Knoxville Nationals winner if let up on Schatz in 2016? When its there.... take it with both hands.

MSPN has summed this up perfectly. I wouldn't want to be Shane Stewart right now.

Peck did more in one race than Shane had done this season. Anytime your boss turns up and makes you look bad, it's never a good ending.

I've seen Justin a few times at Attica since last year and he has put together some solid runs for rather limited seat time in a 410. Seems to really like the tighter tracks, win with the All-Stars last year at Macon.

Now that helps me, a win at Macon, do 410's race on anything that small anymore, seriously?  That is not a full blown bull ring, it's a Tiny bull ring, true story.

Nice to have another valued opinion Cobra, would love to hear about your racing, I have the same email address I have had since the 90's, send me a Bill W. type race report if you ever find the time (on just your racing), would love to read it, all the best Posse Man.....

Blazer, we are usually on the same page but not even in the same book this time.  I have followed everything Outlaw for the last 25 years and can't think of many one night wonders at all.  A couple came and moved on but virtually nobody who stayed in the game.  If this kid beat the All-Stars at Macon and could have beat the Outlaws at Haubstadt then he certainly has the small tracks as part of his game, would love to see him on bigger tracks but sadly that's where equipment comes into play far too often....

So after one performance on a bullring with the Outlaws everyone is proclaiming this guy is better than the likes of Shane Stewart and any other driver that was in attendance?  What most of you fail to realize is that it is very different to show up at one "select" WoO show and throw haymakers left and right and possibly contend for the win.  The 2 glaring things that come to mind for me are this. 1. Go ahead and try that for 90 plus races a year and see how you turn out.  2. Look at the venue.  This was a track that is a one-off.  You don't find many tracks with this configurement.  Now I am not saying that Peck doesn't have any talent or isn't capable of ever being a great winged sprint car driver.  What I am saying is that if you are basing your argument off of one race at Haubstadt, Indiana where slidejobs and haymakers were the norm then even the most experienced observers appear to be exalting him a bit early.  Let's see him run at Eldora, Port, Knoxville, The Grove, Lincoln, Devils Bowl, Vegas, Volusia and others before we go all bat-crazy.  I respect the heck out of Nelligan and with all due respect even have to disagree with him on this one.  Did Peck have a good run going Sunday night?  He sure did.  Does this make him better than Shane Stewart and the cast of WoO regulars? Nope, not yet.  Peck was inches away from disaster all night and it finally bit him.  You are not going to win many WoO shows running around with no regard to the other racers on a regular basis.  Just my 2 cents worth.

Sammy Swindell disagrees.

What Stroker_Race said is the same way I see the situation. To say sponsors need to look at him because he had a few fast laps at haubstat is comical. If he went with the outlaws for the next 20 races both him and MSPN would likely be extremely humbled. Jacob Allen really has no good sponsors and this guy couldn't hold his jock in terms of skill and experience. If i was to impressed by someone you don't hear of much it would be that cole Duncan guy. He has had quite a few nice runs with the outlaws at Eldora and charlotte and a couple other tracks.

I see Kyle Larson as overall quick time on Sunday time trials .

57 Kyle Larson  11.935

5X Justin Peck  12.056

Stick to the facts...yes he was fast and fun to watch.
