A buddy on the night of the Knoxville Nationals (Saturday) was reading on some site that Mansfield Speedway had over 50 - 410 sprintcars signed in to race that night and over 100 Sprint cars signed in, in different divisions!! Was he reading this wrong and if not then who was all these drivers???????

I think 63 410's....all the Fremont, Attica guys.....most of the southern Ohio regulars...a handful of Wayne County and Western Pa.....5 central Pa guys.....both Wagners, Cisney, Mark Smith, Zearfoss ....Gulick from NY.......Ryan Smith and Helms from the all stars........... Brandon Hanks from the mid-south......around 40 each non-wing and 305 with a few heavy hitters like Cottle and Leary...........and just about every 305.

forgot Armstrong from the all stars, who won. Pretty amazing when you consider Knoxville and 3,000 to win at Sharon which drew Hotlgraver and Blaney.

The 1's that didn't go to Knoxville. LOL. Sorry I couldn't resist & I couldn't be there. Had planned on going there but went to W.Va. instead.

Thought there were 66, But amazing that they got 63. Makes you wonder how many will show up for April's race.

Was an awesome show. Highest car count in Ohio all year for the 410s, 38 nonwings and 40 305s which was a FAST series record. Darland was also there in Nonwings as was Landon Simon, and Joe trenca also from ny in the 410s. And Scotty Thiel from WI. Really cool to get to see drivers from different regions come out and race. Was a real treat for me as I'd not seen any of them run in person before.

66 410s. Over 140 total sprint cars. Great show on a beautiful night. Packed house.

Great showing by the PA guys (hats off to the current Port Royal point leader for coming out).

Over at 0330, home at 0600.

Is this going to be an annual event? With many eastern tracks not racing that weekend, it's  nice for those teams who want to race, but don't have the deep pockets to tow to Knoxville.

To each their own, but a show that gets over at 330am, has the main event decreased from 30 laps to 20 laps and has half the field crash out doesn't sound great.

i hope they learn and continue to have big shows.

Agreed. We had to leave when it was after midnight and they were just starting the two 305 b mains. Afetr that the BOSS B mains were scheduled and then the C, B and A for the 410 winged cars.

I was hoping they would move the 410 wingers to the front of the program when it got that late...those were the cars and drivers that we paid to see after all.

I could have stayed later, but my dad can't do it anymore.

I too, am hoping they can get better organized and learn to move these shows along or maybe even reduce the number of classes. More push trucks would help as well.

It's a beautiful facility and a great place to watch dirt races. Looking forward to next April.

I doubt they will draw the same number of cars next year as more OH and PA tracks as it appears there is enough of an interest to do so.  The days of conceding the night to Knoxville are over, especially when you can follow the action there on your phone, tablet, or laptop anyway.  Still the biggest race of the year, but not the only thing going anymore.

Both the nonwing features were very good. And watching Cisney charge from 9th to finish 2nd for the final transfer out of the B main racing with Rob Chaney and Andrew Paulker was the best race of the night IMO. Woulda liked to see how the 410 feature would've turned out had the field not gotten destroyed on the first 3 attempts to start the race.

After Nats was over I went on social media to get results from Mansfield before going to bed and saw they were no where close to running the 410 A.  Got up next morning and saw it ended at 3:30AM.  Wow!  It's hard for ME to imagine staying that late because to me I'm sacrificing a productive next day too.  I'd either lose half of Sunday sleeping or get 2 hours of sleep and lose Sunday to being a zombie.  But that's just me.  I work hard all week and use weekends for house work and family time.  Not worth losing an entire Sunday because a Saturday night event went until 3:30 in the morning. Again, that's me.  The track will figure it out and get it right in the future.

I understand they had one of those nights with a bunch of reds, but even if it was a normal night that show probably is still going till 1:30-2. Going forward they need to either get that show started much earlier in the day or only run 2 divisions for these big shows.

Obviously way too late but it's the 1st time running this event and I'm sure they will make appropriate changes to get the features started at a reasonable hour in the future. At least I would hope so. Maybe they weren't expecting such large car counts and you never know how many reds and yellows are going go happen.
