Hi all

just returned back to the UK from my 8th nationals and we always stay at Newton but desperately want to try a camper rental on the campgrounds in Knoxville for next year! Ideally one where camper is delivered to the grounds with hook ups etc

Any help advice and guidance will be greatly appreciated

many thanks Ben

Try Ed Garner autorama. They are out of Des Moines. I think they will bring them down and set them all up for you. Not sure on price though.

Dang Rude, I thought you were going to have them stay at your place like in the old days, man they would NEVER forget a week like that.  I do think you mentioned once that you have moved, so that would kind of end things.  But I remember the characters camping on your lawn and then walking to the track, would be perfect for these folks from jolly old....Hope things are well and am curious as to your thoughts on the racing this year, all the best to you and yours, Take It Easy....

What's up Mike, nobody wants to stay with us anymore we're to far away. Heck we don't even make it home some nights. We get started on the Tuesday of the 360 nationals anymore. We did have a lot of fun back in those days and meet  tons of great people. We enjoyed giving people a place to stay for the week.

As as far as the racing goes. I'm not a Schatz fan at all but I don't think we could of asked for better racing overall. That was probably the best the racing has been in awhile. Passing in the heats has been harder the last several years but this year they were able to make some.  And Gravel, boy I haven't seen anyone run above the cushion in a long time but he sure did and smoked them. I'm not sure why more guys don't try that. It worked years ago but it can also bite you. Not as convinced as some people were that he would have won if he didn't blow up. He was fast but he was almost in 2 or 3 wrecks before he blew up. He was running every lap like it was the last. Donny looked like his very patient self just biding his time. They say you have to lose one before you win one so next year who knows.
