Great to hear the water trucks must have been used to promote a cushion not knock it down for intermission entertainmentSmile

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

All Stars have never won at Williams Grove in their 46 year history. Truly remarkable.

You would think Smoke would try to at least get one win to promote the series.

You'd think he'd bring in Warner with one of Schatz's cars painted up like Blaney's with Dale at the wheel or something.

Was very surprised to see the Edge track down Lance then pass him. May be the first to do that this year.

Amazed at how Kraig Kinser continues to struggle at the Grove. Finished P3 in the B and a non- factor in the A. Also expected to see Kemenah do better. Timed well but dropped back in his heat and the A.

Nice to see the All-stars bring a good field of cars. Expect they will do better at Lincoln tonight. Lance won't be there and I think the 27 is running the 360 show at Selinsgrove.

The surface at the Grove the last few weeks has been great. Seems like ever since they had their meeting with Brent Marks, they've had it in excellent condition. Hope they keep it up. That was an awesome race last night. Congrats to Brian Montieth on the win. Good to see the 21 back up front.

Not sure exactly how you can say the surface was great. Second car out was quick time, 3 of 4 heat pole sitters won and in the feature the guys that started 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 finished....guess what, 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 lol. Oh but sixth and seventh swapped, lol. Great, great track.  If Wolfe doesn't slow down Dewease, he doesn't get passed so it wasn't like Montieth just flat out caught then passed him. At least Grandview was fun to watch. A bit dusty, but fun.

I don't judge a race based on who started/finished where. I judge it by the action I see and last night was a good race. Grandview was definitely better but last night was great as well. If you would've taken your eyes off the lead car you would've seen lots of passing on a multi grooved surface with a nice cushion up top. There was a good bit of passing in the heats as well, it just wasn't for the lead. Even the race for the lead in the feature was great. Whether or not Lucas got in someone's way, it still turned out to be a good race. You can look at any race and say "if this or that would've happened it would've been better/worse". Some people are just never happy I guess.

Agree the race was entertaining. Monteith taking off like a rabbit, Lance chasing him down in traffic and passing. Then Monteith making the late charge with a last lap pass. 30 laps non-stop high speed slicing and dicing through lapped traffic. Hodnett and Dietrich battling for position lap after lap. Sheldon moving from 19th to 11th and Marks 15th to 8th. Lots of side by side  racing during the A main.

I want to think they have won 5 times (3 at the Grove and 2 at Lincoln which is surprising).  That team has just had a hard time finding any consistancy this year for some reason.  I'm sure if they knew why they are having issues they would fix it, but something has had them amiss at times this year.

Maybe the tire/wicker bill combo has thrown them for a loop, or maybe not.  Either way that team has been feast or famine this year.

Thanks. Usually, even if he doesn't win, you can count on Montieth to make it interesting....

Montieth's owner probably cut back on spending since he's selling out at the end of the year.  I'd say that's why he hasn't been as fast this year.

That rumor has been circulating since the Icebreaker this year. I haven't seen anything concrete nor have I heard anyone who would be considered a reputable source talking about it so just like like every other rumor, I've assumed it's bullshit. It may end up being true but until then, I'll believe it when I see it.
