For the first time in 40 years, there will be open wheel racing at the Fremont, Ohio, Speedway during the Sandusky County Fair. The 305 winged Sprint Cars will compete on Tuesday, August 23, at 7 PM. The event will feature the largest purse of the season for this division , with $ 1,200 to win and $ 175 to start. Every finishing position in the Feature pays a different amount. If well supported , hopefully this can become an annual event as it was in the 1950's to the mid 1970's.
