Didn't Schatz grow up racing in the midwest, I could be wrong, I was only 12 when I saw him in a black and orange fifteen at Jackson, Husets, Knoxville

How about Keith Kauffman's three top 10s (two of which came in the Hamilton & Wintermyer cars) and he hasn't raced the Nationals since 2000?  He also beat the Outlaws at Knoxville in October 1983 in the #77.

Or Jeff Shepard's 14th to 3rd driving Barry Jackson's local car?  Won a Nationals prelim in the Zemco #1 the year before he got hurt and claimed it was a win for the Posse.

Or the success Stevie had in the Hamilton #77 and Zemco #1 at the Nationals?  Stevie wins Knoxville in 1993 if not for rain delay and the corresponding red flag. And yes, Stevie was running with the Outlaws then, but that was PA-based team (driver & owner).

Lance & Freddie (two prelims) may have the most A-main starts (not counting Stevie), but they’re not necessarily PA's most successful at Knoxville.  Now on the other hand, Lance might have had something to say about that this year.  Who knows what he would have done?

And I'm not getting into the CA, IA, vs. PA debate.

Could include Kenny Weld & Doug Wolfgang too - Weikert #29.

Duh, Weld was from Missouri and Wolfgang from South Dakota.  They were both hired guns, not posse. :)

Try running 30 laps without a left front shock.  Makes for an ill handling race car.  Greg and the 27 crew did a wonderful job.  Be proud....I am!

Knoxville did not have twin features this year. They just recently did away with it. Somewhat disappointing but somewhat understandable. Did really draw more cars or pay but you just doubled the purse, points, and wear n tear on the cars. Wouldn't be surprised if it came back in the schedule someday just because of tradition.

The drivers that have been running Knoxville in the past several years, and now Knoxville, Jackson and Badlands have had on average the past several years 5-6 cars in the A Main....genearally breaking in to or near the the top ten with 2-3 cars. This year there were a number of cars that made the A Main and it was an off year , no doubt. Keeping up with the WoO drivers at the Nationals isn't like trying to keep up with them anywhere else...including PA. If anybody thinks they are unloading the same equipment at say Williams Grove as they are at the Nationals, they're in for a rude awakening. Nobody has the equipment at their disposal that the top 5-7 WoO drivers have. And at Nationals time, what they unload from the hauler is the best they have....and the freshest. Bottom line for me is that we have a safe and exciting Nationals. I predicted WoO top 4 w/Rico at number five. Larson got there instead. Regardless....we have the Nationals and nobody else does, :) and we know who the best in the country are, and who you have to beat.

This is getting so offensive.  No wonder people are getting shot everywhere with such divisive bias based on poeple's geographical placement and origins.  The more I think about it the more I realize all people really need to just love each other.  You guys better hope a democrat lawyer doesn't see all these prejudices.  It would be much more modern, simple and kind to put differences under the hood and stop judging people with less talent from Iowa and California.  Davey Brown, Bobbi Johnson and Ricky Warner should not be on such a pedastal strictly because of obvious talent advantages stemming from being born and bred in the area Bud Grimm perfected.

Nobody's getting shot here & nobody's getting judged

Just fans BSing & rooting for their homies

I'm from Central PA and I love our local racers. Notice I said "local racers" and not "Posse"? I'm sick of seeing some of the " fans" around here act the way they do. The constant chest thumping and grandstanding pisses me off to no end. You can cheer for your hometown boys and be happy the win without bashing drivers who aren't from here. It happens all the time and it makes us all look bad. It's really nice when a photo on a press release about Dewease winning at Williams Grove features a bunch of drunks with a painted up bed sheet proclaiming their Posse allegiance. People see that shit and then think that we're all a bunch of idiots who don't know that they race sprint cars in other states, regions and countries and some of those drivers, just like here in PA, do it pretty damn well. I'm to the point now where I love seeing the WoO spank the shit out if the Posse just to hear the silence that soon follows. I hate feeling that way but I can't help it. You're right though. Arguing over this stuff is stupid but as long as it's in good fun, I don't mind. It's when it gets too personal or too serious (like it does 99% of the time when some idiot from Pa decides to pound his chest for the Posse) that I have a problem with.

Thats the way I feel about Broncos hype, living in Denver

But when I spend my summers back East, its fun to root for the Posse. I don't take it so seriously

It's kind of funny how the more talented drivers have better luck than the others.

if you can't defend your home track, maybe you need to get off the porch and cherry pick these secondary market 410 and 360 races before you hang it up?

Wow. And to think I went to the Nationals, enjoyed great races, and was thrilled to watch drivers from all around the country; Knoxville, Pennsylvania, Ohio, California, wherever. Loved every minute of it. Reading some of these comments I must be doing this all wrong.

Wow. Thats unfortunate if it's true. Where did you hear this?

This isn't that surprising in my eyes to be honest. After losing Am Racing last year, I thought this year would be very telling for the future of this team. Hopefully Kerry lands in another top notch ride, he's fun to watch.
