Port has very good clay. Selinsgrove has hardly any clay left on the track. That's why several LM's have left SG and started racing at Port.

Dude what are you talking about. Did I not just say that we race there 10 times a year and the track prep has been the best? I HAVE BEEN THERE. YOU HAVENT BEEN THERE IN YEARS. SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Praying for proper moisture Sunday at Selinsgrove. I hear the WoO is allowing canted valves Sunday evening:)
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Jesus Christ dude take damn pill. I didn't say Port is horrible or that it's a dump or anything. I'm just being honest about the circumstances. I'm not saying the field is terrible but Lincoln is averaging a good many more cars for their regular shows than what Port is. Sammons and Barger are hardly there anymore and Heimbach and Lafferty have missed a bunch of races this year. Port's field is much older too. Not near as much young blood. Maybe some will surface but as of now, Lincoln has a good bit more up and coming talent. Marks will be headed out on the road sooner rather than later, Hodnett, Mike Wagner, Doug Esh aren't getting any younger. Erdley isn't either and he's now out of a ride again which sucks. I'm not saying it's terrible now, but in 2 or 3 years, it looks as if quality and quantity may become an issue and I hope they are proactive in trying to see to it that the sprint field stays decent. I'm not bashing them. I love the place. As far as the dust, all I said was Port is just as dirty as Selinsgrove after you bashed Selinsgrove for being dusty. I'm not bitching about it. I don't care about dust, never have. Anyone with a fucking brain and 2 functioning eyes can see that the track prep at Port hasn't been as good as the last few years.

One advantage for Lincoln has been them retaining the 358 class as a support division. 38 sprints last week is nice to see. This is the minor leagues for 410's and the up and comers will likely stay on a track that they are familiar with when they decide to jump to the 410 class. Hogue, Dietz, Ross are just some of the guys that have made the jump and there is a good field behind those guys.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "spoiled" in another similar discussion.
But with so many races to choose from, Pa. fans are "extremely picky"!
The only track I won't go back to is Hagerstown
Count your blessings!

Good luck with that. Selinsgrove doesn't like to waste water on LM's. If you were there for the LM SW show, then you know what I'm talking about. It's a shame because those wide sweeping turns are very condusive to great LM racing when the track is good. They'd rather cater to the pro-stocks, running them 1st every week and leaving the LM's(which USED to have the best weekly counts) to run last on a used up track.

I've only been to Port 3 times this year and every time the track was decent. I'm glad Starwser isn't in charge of track prep or they'd probably have a heavy track with freight train racing around a low heavy cushion. Port is always best when it slicks off and the cushion is up high. Otherwise, nobody can pass on the bottom. Being a Selinsgrove homer myself, I can only wish SG would invest in some decent clay like Port has.

Thanks for getting it right. Hopefully "others" read your post because it's spot on.

Do you promise this time? You have been bashing Selinsgrove for years, saying you will never come back but you always do. Do us a favor and keep your word this time, stay at Lincoln with the rest of the porch dwelling posse seat sniffers you call friends.

its been about 4 years there Rip Van Winkle...the place eats engines...and fan support because it sucks!

The incident on the start was a racing deal. With Ott and Marks on the front row and the track being heavy and fast, the initial start would was crucial. Esh & Hodnett both went for it and they got together. To be fair, damn near everyone was driving a little crazy Friday night. Indistinctly remember Austin Hogue making a quick left hand turn on the frontstretch and damn near fencing Troy Fraker and then Montieth threw that less than stellar slider and brake checked Buckwalter in the middle of turns 1 & 2 plus countless other moments I noticed where guys were using each other up bad. Seems like the only person who ever gets held accountable is Hodnett yet when any other driver stuffs someone (like I've seen Lucas do AT LEAST 3 times since the infamous dust up between him and Hodnett) no one wants to talk about it. There isn't a driver out there who hasn't done something that can be conceived as dirty but it's only select ones who get any shit for it.

other than Wolfe walking up to the 27 under the RED after he took out Esh and Wolf several weeks ago at Port I have not heard ANYONE hold the 27 accountable for driving people all over the track...it was so bad there for a few weeks Jeremy Elliot launched an apology tour!
