Agreed, Hooper....it just rubs me the wrong way, unfortunately there are people in the stands that live to see cars get torn up. Replacing the car is easy, the whellman, not so much.

All by himself he cant help it but he is so good though...
he is a allstar period and will bankrupt a woo team

You're an idiot! Lil' Haud is fast and is a contender every night. Jac is a legend and one of the best drivers to ever pilot a sprint car.

Seriously? You waited almost a month after the last thread to respond? Hey good job on the grammar though.

I can't even imagine how much your life (assuming you even have one) must suck. I'll bet you're really a fun person to be around......

From what I could see on the highlight video, the proper term should be "Got Crashed" though it kinda looks like he went up over the LR of the other car after the slider, it is inconclusive. At any rate, evey time something happens to him you act like he piled her straight in to the turn one wall without turning for the corner.

I agree....the video didn't quite show enough, but it sure looked like it was a slider by Peck that should have been held up about mid slide.....looked like Peck lost so much momentum that Sheldon had no where to go. Sheldon was leading going in to turn one, so pretty evident he was caught up in a poor slider. At any rate.....Sheldon is the real deal!

If you stop the Outlaw highlight video at the 3:21 mark Peck had him cleared by about 3 feet.

I rate this post 0.01 stars out of 5. Its been since the early 90s and USENET since I've seen such a weak effort.

I thought he had him cleared also, Sheldon is the future of the sport, such a fun guy to watch, often 'the show' like Dad was and this guy Peck impressed the heck out of me, where did he come from, not literally, just sayin'.....

I agree I just love hearing the bitches on here cry when somebody says something... He is a nice guy and a good kid I just would like to see him stop crashing a lot..twice or three times this year he is in the lead and crashes... I want him to clean that shit up so he can maybe one day before he is old, challenge Schatz but then again nobody can cause he has no equal so if Sheldon don’t tighten up his game that he has been in awhile now then he will just be another talented kid lost in the mix that could not put it all together. He crashes at Eldora every year and thats His home track basically

And probably at that precise moment about 30 mph slower than Sheldon. That's what happens with a poorly executed slider.

Not sure if that grammar is correct. Isn't it in the past, so crashed might be a better word than crashes.
Only watched the 4 minute highlight reel but I was impressed by Peck. Thought he must have been some seasoned local who doesn't travel much and therefore not a big name.
Thought the track looked real exciting, cars racing everywhere whipping donuts at the end of the straights to do it all over again and again. Lots of passing and passes per lap for position.
I liked it.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

You said he is a kid, and you're right about that. He's still very young and learning, which means he will only get better.

Blazer, when you clear a guy it's NOT a poorly executed Slider, because the guy you cleared has a Brake Pedal, when you don't clear a guy then you have a poorly executed Slider and you know this you're smarter than most in this forum. I don't want in any way, shape or form to sound anti-Haud, I love the kid, he IS the future of the sport in many more ways than it appears. Please don't let him leave for those door things.....

Well yes there are poorly executed sliders even when a guy gets by. Sorry to disagree. Many poorest executed sliders end up in a crash.....some sooner than than the one we are talking about, yes, but a crash none the same. I don't think based on how I see the video that Sheldon had much time to brake....but who knows because there is so little video of the pass......another case of a poorly executed slider is when you clear a guy, but you've scrubbed off so much speed the guy you passed has enough momentum and time to go under and fly back by.....if the passed car is given the room to do so, and I don't think Sheldon had either the time or the room to do that and he ended up getting up on the tail/rear tire of Peck's car. Simply passing a car with a slider doesn't mean it was a successful one or otherwise. Plus, how many times have you seen a driver start a slide and be nearly by and realize he's scrubbed off too much speed to safely succeed so he backs off and holds an inside line and let's the other car back go on by? I've seen that plenty. The driver being slid will know too, that the guy doing the slider is not going to pull it off, and he has the right stay on the gas and expect the other driver to give up the notion of finishing the slider. I think that's what Peck should have done when he slid Sheldon, back off, but he didn't. Peck's driving style that night finally bit him and it also happened to bite Sheldon. JMO of course. And no need to patronize me or whatever with the "smarter than most" . You won't hurt my feelings and I won't take it as an insult if you disagree with me. There are plenty of posters on this forum with more knowledge and history than myself. And most don't take disagreeing personally. I only do so when it comes to name calling , etc...........I try not to stoop to that level, but..... there are a few that can rankle me......

P.S. I've also seen the driver pass with a slider with way too much momentum, miss the cushion in front of the guy he slid, and end up out of the ballpark! THAT'S Poorly executed, I'd say.

It wasnt the best slide job ever, but he cleared him. He could have waited a lap, or to the next corner, but it is a Outlaw show and I dont really think waiting is always best. He took a shot and it bit him and others. Ive seen people on twitter say it was a dirty slider..umm NO. Want to see a very questionable slider go back a few years during the Nationals(wimmer taking out kemenah). I think this was just good hard racing.

He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he wads it up every other race. When he can run a 15 race stretch without sticking his car owner with a huge bill, then you can talk. Peck had him cleared and Haud refuses to lift. That is what gets him in trouble nearly every night. Just like his Dad, you can't afford to keep him in the car.
